The King's Spec
Esther 2:2 Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king: 2:3 And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:
Kings are renowned male rulers of an independent state or nation.. In the past, they hold the highest authority by which they judge their kingdoms in truth and fairness.
Kings are honourable and so whatever they desire comes with a certain specification. Whatever that must be given to the King must be of great value without blemish.
It was a time for King Ahasuerus to choose a new bride after Queen Vashti lost her place in the palace.
Just as the custom, the king requested for beautiful maidens, spotless, presentable and also who are still virgins.
The specifications were clearly defined for anyone who would wish to present herself before the king, it is a pre qualification... You must be beautiful, spotless and yet still be a virgin with good morals. This is a point to note that, just anybody cannot stand before the king talk more of becoming the bride.
The same is applicable to Christ the king of kings.
If the kings of earthly kingdom could desire good things for themselves, how much more the king of Kings?
The king of Kings is looking for the beautiful, the spotless, virgin, with good morals.
The king of this world may look after the outer appearance, but the king of Kings is looking at your inner disposition
The spec the king of Kings is looking for, is that person who lives a holy life
That person who is not spoilt with the lust of this world
That person who has a clean hands and a pure heart
Someone who does not live a life of sin
Someone whose life is not driven by the works of the flesh in Galatians 5 :19
Someone who is dead to sin and becomes alive in Christ Jesus, someone whose life daily is in the expectation of the Lord's second coming
If the king of Kings shall appear to take His bride home, are you qualify to stand before Him?, are you His spec?, do you fit in?
If your answer is no, then your christian journey is still a rat race
Change your ways of life and be qualify to stand before the king of Kings on the last day or when death shall close your eyes.
