Lust will make you Lost

1 John  2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The first method Satan used to capture man into sin was lust, the desire to eat the fruit, the passion to have a sensation of truth and evil and wisdom.... Genesis  3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

After yielding to the lust of the eyes, sin came into man, and man became lost from the glory of God, then the garden of peace into the world of pain, sorrow and death... Thankfully to the grace of God in Christ Jesus that brought us back inline with God, but not all that was lost though sin was restored... It remains the scares of sin we carry everyday to remind us of our disobedience 

Satan never stop to entice man to sin through lust, and anyone who yield to it will definitely be lost from the will of God for man. 

It was in the desire of God for Samson to judge Israel for many years, to avenge Israel on their enemies, to be their fortress, but he lust after a woman, and he fell into sin, first the means through which he lust was taken away(his eyes), secondly the purpose of God for his living was removed (his power, which can signify anointing), then death. 

 He was lost out of God's will and agenda for Israel, because of lust of the eyes. He never lived to tell the story. 

Gehazi lust after a talent of silver and two change of cloth, 2 Kings  5:21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?  5:22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.

But his lust makes his name to be lost in the book of the records of prophet in Israel, firstly, he got leprosy of Naaman for himself and his generation, and also was disposed among the sons of prophets... Who knows, he would have become mightier than his master Elisha. 

What you lust after will lead you to sin, and you may be thinking  it is temptation... It will lead you to sin, destroy the plans of God for your life and later kill you if you fail to repent and crucify that flesh on the cross. 

James  1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:  1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.  1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Be watchful, and be instant, devote yourself to the word of God and the teachings of Christ Jesus, nail the flesh to the cross, so you will not obey its desire, only  then  will you  live above sin. 

The scares of sin will remind you of your lustful past... It is better not to fall into sin, than regret never to have yield to it. 

Hope you are not lust already?,... Christ is waiting for you, he is the only way back to the living God...
