According to His Will

1 John  5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.  5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

God has a defined method by which our prayers can be answered, he establish a principle in time past when he communicates with man without any interference, so also He does now when Christ becomes our advocate.

As much as we pray in the name of Christ  does not mean our prayers and supplications will be automatically answered, many reason are not far from the methods God gave.

Many prayed but without answer, they have checked through their life to examine what could be the hindrances to their prayers, they have kept the faith, they have lived above sin, they have given to the poor, and they have lived peaceably with men, yet their prayers kept hanging in the space..

Some have concluded in their heart that God is not capable to save and to deliver, yet God is most powerful to do more than we can ever ask for

In this verse  5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

We are given the condition upon which prayers can be answered.

We must ask according to the will of God, for God does not work contrary to His  will in answer to prayers. His will is the guide and blueprint for our life, everything we do as long as we have identified ourselves with Him through Christ, then, it must all be according to His will.

Many ask amis because their desire, needs or want is against the will of God the Father... God's will is the compass to our life.. If we ask according to His will, then we have the confidence that our prayers will be answered.

Hannah was barren because God himself shut her womb... Not for evil but to perfect His will in the land of Israel.1 Samuel  1:5 But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.

The lamp on the altar was about to go off, God needed a replacement for Eli, his sons were no match to the requirements of God, so He  seek for a child, who would be brought up in His ways and preside over the people through His guidance.

God shut Hannah's womb in other to bring forth Samuel.. She wouldn't have been willing to release him to God, but on the day she prayed according to the will of God, that she will return the child to God is the day her  womb was opened.

1 Samuel  1:10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.  1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

Praying according to the will of God is the surest way of receiving answers to prayers and being full of God.
