Who are God's people?
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
From generation to generations God has been choosing people for himself, those that will represent him, those that will continually have intimacy with him...
In ages past He chooses Israel to be His own people, giving them laws and commandments to follow, protecting them with supernatural powers and divine provisions... Guiding them through priests, prophets and Kings.
Shortly after God instituted a global family, which is founded by the blood of His only begotten Son, that whosoever can join this family has automatically become His very people.
In antioch, this family of God was given a name, and it spread globally, this people are well known to be God's people because of the character of Christ the son of God was found in them.
But today, it is very difficult to differentiate God's people and people of the flesh, or people of the devil...
Today who are God's people?
Some are serving God, but their heart is far from Him, they do all manner of service in the house of God, sing, praise, pray, pay offering, feed the poor, spend their resources to the house of God but yet their heart is far away from the maker.
Some worship God with their mouth, but their heart is far from Him, they confess Jesus Christ is Lord, but their faith is never rooted in Him,
Some serve God with frivolities and show off. Just like the pharisee who appear to be holy, while going to the place of prayer, they boast of the beauty of their church and the vast knowledge of their pastor or general Oversea, yet their heart is far away from their maker
They have turned the service of God to competition. They compete with money, how much they make in every services, how much they pay as offering. Such people are not God's people.
They compete through intervention to the works of God.. They boast of how many churches they have built for God, they boast how much they have contributed to the poor and the needy... Such people are not God's people.
They compete with the best worship centers, they compare themselves and plan to build a bigger auditorium in other to surpass another, yet they do not know that God do not dwell in houses made with hands... They are not God's people
They compete with doctrines that will distinguish them from others, and when another believer joins their church, they make it a must for such to shrink him/herself to their doctrine, thinking that is the way to heaven... Such are not God's people
Who are God's people?
Is it the one that is wealthy or poor?
Is it those that worship in show off or not?
Some don't even know the purpose of their creation
Some do not know the purpose of the death of Christ on the cross
God's people are those that serve Him in truth, in holiness and righteousness, those who has not lifted up their soul unto vanity
Those whose heart are not far from God. They meditate day and night in the words of God, they have unbroken relationship with Him..
Those who do not serve God because of what they want to get from Him. They do not care if God bless them or not, if he save them from their present challenges or not, they do not care if God heal them of their sickness or not, they serve him blindly like the three Hebrews in the fire, for they said... "Daniel 3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 3:18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up"
Some serve Him because of What they want to get from God, and after He has done it, they stop serving him... Ungrateful and hypocrite worshipers
Who are God's people.?
Ask yourself today, are you one of God's people.? For Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Examine your heart, your outward appearance being a godly person is not the approval of God, but what resides in your heart...
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
He that have ears they him hear what the spirit says to the church.
