The rejected Corner Stone

Psalms  118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

In ancient days, builders used sets of stone for the building of a house, and different stone for each stages of the building.

To have a conner stone which serves as the foundation and a very critical stone the whole building stands on, builders will inspect each stone carefully in other to have the right shape, the best quality and the perfect, so as not to have a defaulted building at the end.

No doubt some stones will be rejected as a result of their failure to pass the integrity test...

So also when God promised a saviour to the Jews and by extension to the whole world, they were expectant and waiting for the mighty man God will send. Probably will come from a royal family, wealthy family and a well famous city.

But thier expectations were cut short after seeing Jesus Christ coming from a common carpenter and a city which is regarded as the least... He wasn't accepted, He was rejected by all means.

Even when Philip told Nathaniel they have found the saviour whom Moses did write about, he said in  "John  1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?"

Yet, Jesus Christ became the conner stone of our salvation through whom everyone stand.

In like manner,

Joseph was once rejected and sold out to be slave, forgotten and mourned as dead by his family, yet God brought him to the Palace  to be second in command...

He became the means of survival for those who had once rejected him....."Genesis  50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."

Jephthah was a child born out of wedlock, he was rejected by his brethren, but he never write himself off, he went and become a great warrior, his family and nation latter sort for him. That made him become their judge.... "Judges  11:11 Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh."

Also, David was once rejected by His family, forgotten on the field, but the grace of God found him and brought him to the  palace to become the king, not only to his family but to the whole nation...." 1 Samuel  16:11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither."

Who has rejected you?,

who thought nothing good can ever come out of you?, who has written you off and believe you can never make it or become great in life?

Do not be discouraged, do not reject yourself, do not condemn yourself... Stand on your feet, for God is in the process of making you the conner stone.

Those that rejected you will eventually plead to come back.

But Note:

You can only become what God wants you to be, if you have not rejected the chief conner stone JESUS CHRIST, as long as you cleave to Him, do His will, and walk on His foot steps your life will become a testimony.

As you live your life today, whatever ugly situation you are that has made people to desert you, that has made people to write you off, that has made people to conclude over your life, don't ever lose hope, don't be discourage, as long you are in God, He will fight for you and your story will become a testimony that will change the history of your family, city and nation.

As long as God does not reject you, you will be great.
