Faith and Work before Blessing
James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Our God is a very hardworking being, this was revealed in the creation of the universe, working for six consecutive days, other forms of His work is divinely revealed through His magnificent power ruling both heavens and earth...
By this He commanded the first human on earth to work that by this, he will survive...
Man wouldn't have had problem that will lead us to pray for increase or miracle because whatever man propose to do is divinely permitted by God, and they are to fall into their rightful place..
But the sin of man brought about the curse of working so hard before eating, or struggling so hard before being blessed... Man result to pray for increase and blessing on whatever we plan to do... And the medium for answered prayer is faith.
On several occasions many tarry in the place of prayer holding their faith but refuse to work, they want blessing but are lazy to work...
Brother James asked this question, James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
It is inappropriate to pray for blessing but refuse to work, you believe God is capable to bless and give increase, but what will God bless and increase?, is it your idleness or your laziness?
You plant before you reap harvest, harvesting what you do not plant is stealing.
Prayer is not work, it is grace over your work. Don't be a believer living in mediocrity...
Everyone God used in the scripture worked before being blessed
Abraham was a farmer and harder, same with Isaac and Jacob
Joseph make use of his God given talent to manage the economy of a whole nation... He interpreted dreams and gave good advice before he was made prime minister
Even Jesus Christ worked, he didn't sit at home and wait for the disciples to come and meet him despite being God in man, he went about to look for them, preaching to them and He never stop till he ascended to heaven.
What excuse would you have as a believer not to work?
God has given everyone talents and wisdom to work with, until you launch into them, before God can bless you.
Your work for six days and pray to God for just a day...
Faith and work comes before blessing.. Don't be lazy, when you work, have faith that blessing is coming.
