Don't doubt God

James 1:6 But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to tell you, for a doubtful mind will be as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind;

Doubt is to be uncertain about (something) or to believe that (something) may not be true or is unlikely to come to pass

Many of us has found ourselves in the doubting room when we face a hard situation in one way or the other. Although we confess Jesus Christ as Lord, and believe in His words, but our conviction about Him changed when we face the hardest phase of life.

Some people's faith become wavering after they had prayed and it seems the prayer is not answered because they want instant answers to their prayer, not knowing that God makes things happen in His own time according to His glory.

Abraham once doubted God...  

After God spoke directly to Abraham to remind him of His covenant of giving him a son,  Abraham laughed and doubted the promise of God, because he had been waiting for a long time...  Genesis  17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?.... It was God's grace that saved him for the promise to come to pass.

John the baptist also doubt the power of Jesus.

He was the one who testify about the coming messiah, he was the one that first profess the power and greatness of Jesus Christ when He came to be baptised

He was the one who baptised Jesus Christ and was not ignorant of the voice of God that spoke from heaven...

But when He got to a hard situation, he doubted the power of Jesus Christ, He sent messages to Christ to inquire if He is still the saviour expected... "Luke  7:19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?"

His doubting  spirit hinders  Jesus Christ from saving him from prison.

What are you going through that is making you doubt the power of God?

What have you prayed for and yet to receive answers and it has made you to doubt the great power of God?

Is it the present situation of the nation that has make you think if God even exist, because if He does, things shouldn't get worse as this...

I say to you today that ... Stop doubting, start believing.

Many prayed so well but all their prayers are all filled with grumbling to God, they never appreciate what He has done in the past, what He's doing and what He can still do.. This has delayed their prayers for several years.

The same God of Abraham who gave him a son at old age is still the same God today who can give you a child.

The same God who saved the children of Israel from a tyrant government of Egypt is still the same today who can save you from your oppressors.

The same God who provided for the children of Israel in the wilderness is still the same God today who can supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

He can do more than he has done in the past only if you stop doubting and start believing.

The more you doubt, the more you delay your salvation and render the power of God impotent in your life. 

If you can trust God enough, He will do more than enough in your life.

All you need to do is to trust His power and His timing.
