Treasure without Christ

Ecclesiastes  12:8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

treasures are  wealth or riches stored or accumulated, especially in the form of precious metals, money, jewels, or plate. · wealth, rich materials, or valuable ... Treasures to man can serve as a means of survival in this world, it can guarantee source of livelihood.

Many has layed up treasures of gold, landed properties, jewels and diamonds, these treasures were secretly kept for the time of its use.

Wherever one's treasures is, there will be one's desire and heart... Matthew  6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also., this in turn does not guarantee safety, peace of mind and neither can it guarantee life now or after death.

Laying up treasures is not a sin, but if Jesus Christ is not included is vanity upon vanity.

Treasures of this world is prone to destruction and thieves, it does not give life, it can only sustain life for a little while, it does not guarantee immortality or everlasting life,   it is found in this world, and it will surely be left behind.

There was man... In a parable of Jesus Christ... Luke  12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:  12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

This was a man who had a lot of profits from his business, a man whose harvest is beyond his ban, a man who got more than he traded for. He has just become the world wealthiest man, So he sort for more treasury in other to store up his riches and wealth.

And thought in his heart... Luke  12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?  12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.  12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

He believes he has gotten the satisfaction his soul desires and now can rest for in many years there will be peace of mind, no struggle and the treasures can guarantee long life.

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (Luke  12:20)

He laid up treasures for many years, but that same day his life will be taken, all he has laboured for will be for another.

Treasures of this world do not give everlasting peace, as such you will be tempted to have more and more, so also there is fear of insecurity... This can make one go extra mile in getting reaches and wealth.

The greatest treasure one can get in this world is accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour... He is the only key that leads to the everlasting treasury of God's kingdom.

A place where no thieves can enter, a place of everlasting peace, a place of immortality, a place of no sorrow and pain.

Whatever treasure you acquire in this world without Christ the Prince of peace is vanity of vanities.

As you live, as you labour day and night, as you are working so hard to get treasures to lay them up for many years to come, as you are working on your retirement portfolio, do you ever think of the day you will die and what will become of all you have stored up?

Jesus Christ will guarantee you peace of mind in this world, and everlasting peace after life,

Jesus Christ will guarantee security of all your treasures in this world and also give you access to the treasury in God's kingdom

He will teach you the way of  wisdom and direct your feet on the right path.

Treasures laid up without Christ exult self rather than God the giver of power to acquire treasures and the life to enjoy it.

Whatever treasure you acquire in this world without Christ is vanity of vanities.

What are you waiting for, in all thy getting let Jesus Christ be at the center.  You will never regret doing so.

God bless you.
