At thy Word
Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
The word of God is life and at It's utterance the world was formed and made, it is so powerful that it can command both life and death.
The world has never been void of God's word, even after man sin, God consistently minister to His people in different dimension and with different messengers
Jesus Christ being the word of God came to this world in human form to perfect our salvation in other to reunite us back to the Father.
At the begining of His ministry, in a bid to choose His disciples, those who will carry on the Gospel to all the ends of the earth, He came across Simon Peter by the river bank in the morning.
Simon Peter had toiled through the night in other to catch fishes, but all his efforts and his colleagues came to nothing as they could not catch any.
Jesus Christ came and beckoned on him to have Him use his boat as a pulpit to preach, so Simon agreed. After the teaching, He asked him to launch into the deep.. Luke 5:3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
But Simon Peter, being a professional Fisherman with many years of experience, who has gone for many professional courses, retreats and seminal on how to catch fishes reiterated and said... Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:
But on the end of his words he said "Nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.". This does not fully comfirm his agreement to catching fishes, but he believes the word of Christ can make a difference.
Sometimes there will be commands of God towards us that will be contrary to our own professional experiences, either in finance, health, marital life, business and ministry, but would we be wiling to say as Simon Peter did that, "nevertheless at thy word I will"?
You may not like what God is asking you to do, you may not like the instruction He gives, you may not like the path He's taking you through but, for you to successfully receives the multitude of blessings, then you must be willing to say, "Nevertheless, at thy word, I will".
He may ask you to invest in business that is not professionally profitable according to the state of the economy, but you should be willing to say "Nevertheless, at thy word, I will"
You may not like the person God is asking you to marry, or he may ask you to reject the person you solely desire, but if you want God's full blessing maritally, then you must be willing to say, "Nevertheless, at thy word, I will"
You may not like the way God is taking you through the journey of your ministry, it may seems God has called you to suffer, but if you must enjoy the blessings of God's call on you, then you must be willing to say, "Nevertheless at thy word, I will".
Hear the word of God in the book of Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
This is the promise of God, affirming that His words can never fail even as much as it has never failed in the past. So don't be afraid, whatever He's telling you do, even if it negates the wisdom of man, just do it, and don't complain. You will be amazed just like Simon peter when your blessings of obedience shall show forth.
In all your walk with God, always say, "nevertheless, at thy word, I will."
God bless you.
