Renew thy youth like the Eagles:{Psalms 103:5}

Day2 : Work with the strength of your Youth

Proverbs  20:29 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head.

We began this series yesterday, renewing our youth like the Eagle by remembering our creator in the days of our youth. Today we will be looking  at working with the strength of our youth..

As we know already that the  youthful age is the most captivating time of a human being, where one have the greatest strength to work and make things happen, a time to invest, a time to plan for days to come, a full of great ideas to build, creat and be useful, both physically and spiritually.

But it is so sad today that many youth are wasting away their youthful years in slothfulness, laziness and idleness. Many want blessing without working, they want harvest without planting, they want miracles, signs and wonders without fasting and praying.

But little did they know that the years of grey head comes shortly they shall regret of not making  use of their youthful days.

The young must realize that they will soon pass from strength to grey head, and so must work when there is still time in other not to regret when the strength is gone.

Genesis  37:2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.

Joseph was just seventeen years of age and he has already been introduced to the family business, there was no school then, so he resorted to learning the family business, there he learned management, accounting and agriculture.

Even when he was sold into slavery, he was first made the Lord of the house of Potiphar, he didn't disappoint, he used all his strength to serve and the Lord blessed his master because of him.

Because of his  act of diligence, integrity and hardworking, God made him to oversee the treasury of a whole nation at just the age of thirty. Joseph worked with the strength of his youth and a whole nation was blessed, even His family enjoyed the blessing for many years.

John  9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Jesus Christ our Lord, even being God in man was not slothful both in physical and in spiritual business. He was a well trained carpenter who was very popular before taking up the ministerial job even when he was below thirty years... Mark  6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

And after taking up the ministerial job, He was never slothful, He moves from place to place preaching, healing and delivering people from all kinds of diseases and oppressions of the devil. He worked with the strength of His youth and was glorified at the end.

What are you doing with the strength of your youth?

Stop waisting away your youthful days, work with the strength you have now, many old men are regretting today for not making good use of their youthful days...

God has given you everything needed for you to be great in life, if education does not open doors for you, there is a talent in you that will surely open the doors, you only have to discover, invest in it and be consistent. Education is only a way to greatness not the only way.

Discover your talent, search inside you what you can do and bring profit, pray over it and start working. Get ideas where necessary, don't just sit and be waiting for manner from heaven.

Many youth invest their strength in evil deeds such as cyber crimes, fraudulent deals, prostitution, banditry, kidnapping, thuggery and the likes, all this will bring regret in old age when the repercussions of the evil deeds will be repaid back.. It will be full of sorrow, pain and agony.

If you are called to Work for God, don't waste away your strength in disobedience to His call, because either you like it or not, you are still coming to work for the same God, even at old age, but may be with pain and regret and the blessing that you deserve in your youthful age would be withheld.

Above all, let your desires in your youth be satisfied by God, maximise your strength and time in Him, because He is the source of your life and living.

The time to make good use of your time  and strength is now, a time is coming when you will be weak, full of grey head. You will either be filled with thanksgiving or regret. Make it right now.

God bless you.
