The sting of Sin

Romans  6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Our life was not first created with sin, we were created in the image of God with the consciousness of the spirit full of His glory, power, knowledge and understanding.

Law was introduced..."Genesis  2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die"

It was in the desire of God to test our Self-Will in accordance to our obedience to Him,  to prove that we see Him as the Lord supreme and give respect to His words.

Man failed the test of loyalty, Satan embellished the truth of God and deceived Eve. The good heart of man became tarnished and spiritual death was the result.

From then on, the heart of man became desperately wicked, bent on doing evil continually (Genesis 6:5). Like the sting of a scorpion; sin stung Adam and Eve and they were spiritually separated from God. Sin truly is the sting of death.

"When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).

Sin appears beautiful and sweet, but the end is deadly. The temporal  pleasures derived from sin is not worth the wages it pays in hell; sin kills. Satan wants you dead: Jesus says in John 10:10a, "The thief (satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy..."

After the eating of the fruit by Adam and Eve, their eyes were opened, they felt they have lost something, not only that, God pronounced judgment on them and sent them out of the beautiful garden... What a great lose.

They lost the presence (physical appearance) of God

They lost the glory of God

They lost peace of not sowing before reaping

They lost the ease in giving birth

They lost life of immortality

They lost the garden full of grace, peace and many beautiful things.

The death of Christ on the cross and His resurrection the third day did not restore man back to the garden of Eden, neither does it return the physical appearance of God  it does not even stop women from having pain during child birth, neither does it stop man from working hard before eating.

Not everything you lost while you sin will be restored after repentance... Some are lost forever.

The repentance of David from the sin of adultery with bathsheba did not return uriah, neither does it stop the product of sin from dying.

The soberness and repentance of Abraham after chasing the birds away during sacrifice didn't stop the Israelite from spending four hundred years in slavery

The sting of sin here on earth is shame, regret, prison, lose of any kind, change of destiny and even physical death...

But the eternal sting of sin is eternal death, eternal damnation in hell with satan.

There is a way out today, it is better not to sin, than sin and regret

Christ has given a new life through his death and resurrection, come to him today, confess your sins before Him, accept Him as your Lord and trust Him with all your heart.

After repentance, the scars of sin will surely remind you of the need to be obedience to God.
Little pleasure ; eternal sorrow

God bless you.
