The consequences in denying Christ
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Christ is the only begotten son of God given as a redemption lamb for the salvation of man's soul.. Man had first sinned and come short of the glory of God, but Christ being the sacrificial lamb gives us the access to reunite with the father.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Our believing in Him, gives us a new life, a new character, a new nature both to live with men and to reign with God in eternity...2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
With many blessings Christ bring to man aside salvation which are not limited to peace, joy, happiness, good health, love, long life and the gift of the Holy Spirit
Also, Christ is the holy route to the father, John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me., this is a clear indication that, we can never receive anything from God without going through the channel of Christ. We cannot approach God if not through Christ the only begotten Son of God.
But what happens if any deny this loving Christ?
After salvation we begin a new walk with God through Christ, we dine and wine with Him as He guides us in the way to the father. But despite all the blessings on earth and the promised in eternity many still deny Him.
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Many who ready the verse above most time think Christ was talking about eternity alone, and the ability of saying No to Him publicly just like Apostle peter did when Christ was captured.
But do you know, in several ways we deny Him before men.
1. We deny Him by living contrary to the nature of Christ... We are called Christians but we do not have the character of Christ, we are religious but we are not righteous, we offer every of our resources to God but kept our heart away from Him... By this, we are denying Christ..
The fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance) . that is expected to manifest in us is not never seen in us, rather we manifest the works of the flesh... (Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 5:21 Envying, murder, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:)
2.. We deny Christ by neglecting efforts to spread the saving knowledge of Him at home and abroad. Many of us received salvation but ashame to preach to others.
You want the blessings of God through Christ, but you are too shameful to preach and evangelise to others at when due... At your place of work, God has placed it in your heart to preach, but you said that's not the perfect place, in.your neighbourhood, you still won't preach...
Even in transit God has inspired many to preach but they are too ashame to do so, but Christ was not ashame to die a shameful death on the cross just for your salvation.
3. Publicly denying Him.
Just like apostle Peter denied Him by the fire, so also many are denying Christ today, because of the earthly persecution, many who profess Christ as lord and saviour denied Him at the face of death. They rather wish to deny Christ to live on earth and die in eternity than to die for Christ and live ever after.
But do you know, in several ways Christ also deny us before God.
It is not possible to expect love from someone you hate, it is not possible to expect blessings from someone you publicly disgrace and it is not possible to arrive at your destination through the route you rejected.
Christ denied us answer to our prayers before God because we also denied Him before men, there will be a closed heaven . Remember it is through Him and His name we pray to the father... No other route or channel by which we can reach God.
And He will ultimately deny us on the Last day when each one will receive rewards of the works done in the flesh.
Have you not denied Christ?, are you not denying Him?...
Your unanswered prayers may be as a result of denying Christ before men.
Look at years you have wasted, look at the eternity you will loose if you die in Christ's denial...
Christ does not have anything to loose, but you have everything forfeit.
No one ever deny Christ and still receive grace and mercy from God... You can never drink from the water that disgust you.
Have a change of heart today and save yourself Earthly struggle and eternal damnation.
Represent Christ and let Christ approves you before the father.
Don't live to regret latter for denying Christ.
