In ALL thy ways, acknowledge Him

Proverbs  3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. The life of man is a mystery, it unfolds as man grow up with time, our understanding is always limited to "now", no matter how wise, knowledgeable we may seems, we still can't predict the exact future. But there is one God, who knows the end even before it began, whatever man will be and become in life is very open to His sight. He set our paths and define our ways. He is the accurate compass that leads us in the  right direction to our destiny.  God created us in a unique way, even though He has every power over us but He never force anything on us as humans, He gave us "self-will" which gives every man the opportunity to either accept the supremacy of God or to reject His loving kindness. But if any will success both in life and in Him, such fellow must acknowledge Him in ALL his/her ways. King Solomon wrote the verse which is our guide for this message.  He was found giving counsel

Enough of casting lots on your Soul

Romans 6:16  Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? Casting lots is a form of choosing an item out of many options, it is an old practice by the Jews in the old testament to have the best choice out of many options. On several occasions lot was casted, Joshua casted lot before the land was divided to all the tribes of Israel according to the commands of God (Joshua 18:10) Lot was casted against Jonah  when all the people in the ship decided  to know on whose account they were troubled on the ship (Jonah 1:7) Lot was casted when it was time to replace Judas among the disciples,  two Brethren were picked Joseph and matthias,  but the lot fell on matthias and he was numbered among the twelve Apostles.  Today, people also cast lots on their soul on different occasions, they choose the appropriate person to follow according to the season of their l

Worthless souls

1 Samuel  2:12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD. Being worthless means having no value, no worth, something that has no importance and very useless. Worthless thing is a description of a wastes and miserable. The word of the LORD this morning is talking about worthless souls. souls are the spirit of man that can never die, it is the spirit after the death of the mortal body. Worthless souls are the ones that knew not the lord God, souls that do not reverence God in all they do, they have no relationship with Him. They live their life with no hope of eternity. Consequentially, they become worthless and useless before God. They have no value in the hand of God. God created us in other to extend His kingdom, and we are to show forth His glory in the planet earth. But man began to choose a wrong path and have less concern about God after the fall to sin in the garden. The life of Eli the high priest and his two sons who were also priests, Hophni and Phi

Do not despise yourself

Psalms 139:4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. There was a time when I was growing up, I had challenges of associating with people, even the kinds of my age range. This is because I thought they were better than I am, being outspoken, courageous and outstanding.  But it got to a time I realized I had kept myself in prison of self pity, I couldn't see myself from me, and I had been  killing  my self esteem.  I summoned the courage and prayed, I saw what needed to be done, I did it, got a push from a brother who could see the potential buried inside of me, though was embracing at first but doing it consistently gave me victory. Now I can speak to millions of souls without being afraid of faces.  Do not despise yourself, you are wonderfully and fearfully made, you are precious to God.  Many people fail today not because they are a failure but because they despise themselves, they could not activate the greatness God has deposited in them

Make positive influence to others

Galatians  6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men...  Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behaviour of someone or something, or the effect itself. An important aspect of life is influence. Each one of us has influence over someone in this world. No one ever existed and becomes what they be without being influenced by one thing or the other, either positively or negatively.  Adam and Eve were first influenced by Satan, they were influenced with  covetousness which causes a change in the character, development and behaviour of God in them to the nature of sin and death.  They were negatively influenced in the garden and this made man to suffer for it till today. Even after the death and perfected work of salvation of Christ on the cross, man is not totally restored back immediately into the nature of God as it was in the garden.  God expects us to have a positive influence over another so that such person can become po

Whose timing are you using?

Ecclesiastes  3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Time is the measurable period during which an action or a process exist, time is the measure of man's existence on earth and  everything we do on earth is perfectly set in time. God creates time to set in motion everything He created. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven, nothing exceeds its own time, everything comes into place at its own appointed time The time of planting does not come in the time of harvest, the time to be born comes when it should and when it is time to die, death knocks on the door.. But in all, He hath made every thing beautiful in his time. Whose time are you using? Whatever a man will become on earth has been set in time, everyone has his own timing, the time of everyone differs from another, but impatience, sin, lack of faith and lack of Understanding in God makes many  miss their  time or use another person's tim

Dross covers the dignity of a silver

Proverbs  25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer. Dross are waste, worthless and impure residues that forms on the surface of a metal, it is removed through intense refining by the goldsmith or silversmith  This dross covers the surface of the metal like silver, and until it is removed, the glory, integrity and beauty of the silver cannot be revealed neither can it be fit as a treasure.  Sin is the dross that covers the dignity, beauty, shine and glory of God in our lives. The moment we embrace sin, we are covered with impure residues, worthless image and this makes us unfit for the master's use.   Sin muddies up our lives, Controls our speech, actions,  outlook, it leads to a miserable life with no direction and eventually leads to death (physically and spiritually) Until we are refined by God himself through salvation, we can never know our  true worth both in God and among men.  Mary magdalen was one of a person covered with t

The risk in bearing false witnesses

Exodus  20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. A witness is someone who has knowledge relevant to an event or other matter of interest, either oral or written. Eyewitness is one who testifies what they perceived through his or her senses (e.g. seeing, hearing, smelling, touching). A false witness is someone who knows the truth but chooses to tell lies against an innocent person in a bid to cause trouble for the person or for personal gain. A false witness is an enemy of truth, a murderer of justice and and an hypocrite. Slanderers, gossipers, unproven accusation tellers, half truth tellers all fall under the judgment of fall witness. No man has the right to endanger the good name of another through falsehoods that come from his mouth. The one who bears false witness against another is selfish, thinking only evil of the one against whom he has borne a false report. God gave the commandment to moses for the children of Israelite in Exodus  20:16 Thou shalt not bea

The lord shall give you a say

Psalms  126:1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. The history behind the book of Psalm 126 was the restoration of the children of Israelite after the  babylonian captivity. The nation had been taken into captivity because of their idolatry. God approves their freedom after sure repentance.  Coming out of captivity was like a dream come true, they never believed thy would be released, they could not believe that God would work in the lives of pagan Kings in order to allow then to return to their own land  The announcement of their release was a great joy and they were all full of excitement... Indeed the Lord gave them a say over their enemies who thought they would never come back to their own land.  Psalms  126:2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.  126:3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. What are you going

Honour your father and mother

Exodus  20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. God's commands are ever loving and peaceful to mankind, it is to help us live peaceably with fellow humans and ultimately with God  Some of these commands will help us sharpen our life and increases God's blessings in our life.  "Honour thy father and thy mother" is one of the ten commandments given to Moses for the Israelite and by extension to us too. No one ever existed without having  parent through whom they come to  this world. Parents are demigod to thier children who is expected to groom and raise them to become what God wants them to become in life, both in physical and spiritual. Parents are to be respected, honoured and appreciated at all times if we really want to please God in all things we do, irrespective of what they are doing to us, or what they have done in the past.. We must honour them. It brings us to the desire of God's

Work and Pray

Romans  12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;  12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Becoming a believer in christ does not mean manna will be falling down from heaven, it does not make us idle as not to go about working things out for our survival and those around us. Though before the creation of man, everything man needed was already provided by God, yet after man was created, He commanded him to work in the garden. To dress and to keep it. It is so sad today that many places prayer before work, they find time to go to prayer mountains, crusades but when it comes to work, they become lazy, they want blessing without working, they want open heaven without opening the ground for planting Before God blesses or answer the prayers of your blessing, you must have a work in your hand...  Proverbs  22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Despite G

Reconcilation

Colossians  3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Reconciliation is the process of  healing a relationship after a wrong or a hurt has been done. It is a process between two or more people or among groups of people. It is the next step after forgiveness. There are some cases whereby we have hurt someone or we've been hurt by someone, the relationship got broken, what we normally do we no longer do them, the sweet and smooth relationship we had with them becomes hatred. Yet, God commands us to reconcile. A case to sturdy is the life of Joseph and his brothers. What more evil can man do to another greater than what was done to Joseph by His own blood brother. He was sold to strangers out of jealousy, he was proclaimed dead to his father and behave as if nothing happened. Joseph experienced the worst days of his life, which includes hard labor, wrong accusation and prison. Yet, he did n

A remorseful Heart

Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise. Our heart is the temple of the living God where His spirit resides and communicate to our spirit for smooth relationship 1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? But often time, We fall into temptations and sin against God, in this process we loose communication with God and His temple becomes the residence of the devil. But yet, when we sin, we have a grace period to come back to Him, with a humble heart and confess our sins before Him so we can be purified again worthy enough to accommodate the only true and holy God. Psalm 51 is a record of King David's remorseful heart when prophet Nathan came to him after  he had committed adultery with bathsheba The words of King David  opens with an appeal to God for mercy and forgiveness. David’s plea for God’s steadfast love points to our need for

The seed of evil words

Ephesians  4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  The words we speak revolves around life and death, our life can experience blessing if the words that proceed from our mouth is seasoned with grace, so also if we continually speak evil, our life can experience destruction. Words that proceed from our mouth is life itself, either they are good words or evil words... Whichever we master will have its expression in our life. Evil words are destiny destroyer, it can redefine God's purpose and plan for one's life, its very powerful that it takes effect faster in the life of the recipient than the good words spoken. It is a seed planted in the soil of one's life, which can take years to bring fruit, ones it takes root, it becomes the greatest enemy of one's life. Many are suffering from it today and until they dig deep to it's root and cut it down, fruits of

Under His Wings

Psalms  91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Few years back I reared hens which in latter time has many chicks. As they were growing up I left them to open field to experience fresh air and green plant. On one faithful day I was outside, then suddenly there was a sight of an Eagle in the sky, trying to feed on the chicks, with no time the hens made a kind of noise which surprisingly made all chicks run towards their respective mother and hide under their wings.. Wow.. I was so amazed by that act, the Eagle could not do anything other than to fly away. The Lord told me, can you derive wisdom from what just happened? 1. As long as the chicks are under the wings of their mother, no predator can ever prey on them. 2. Each chick knows their mother, so at the sound of her voice of warning for the impeding danger, they all run to their respective mother, no one run to another mother but their very own moth

Stop Adultery

Proverbs 23:27 For a harlot is a deep pit, And a seductress is a narrow well.  Adultery is the  “violation of the marriage vow.” it  is sexual intercourse of two persons, either of whom is married to a third party. As much as adultery is a sin to self and flesh, it is a great sin before God.. Thou shall not commit adultery is one of the laws of the ten commandment given to moses which uphold sanity among the children of Israel, the consequences of committing adultery is death The coming  of Christ and his death does not abolish the laws but to fulfil it... Matthew  5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Adultery is the breaking of the covenant made before God and the abolition of God's principle of marriage.. This will in no time attract God's punishment in several ways. The results of Adultery.  1. Destruction  When the sin of adultery is committed, your total life becomes prey to the devil, you become tossed

Speak Out: When ungodly act persist around You

James  4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Becoming a believer in Christ makes us carry in ourselves a new nature of Christ which shun sin and eschew evil. Our life becomes reprogrammed in the righteousness and holiness of God. Having this light of righteousness shining in our life, then our light is expected  to shine through the darkness of this world. Matthew  5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. But it is so sad and heartbreaking that those that suppose to shine their light of righteousness in the darkness of the sinful world hide their light and walk away from the darkness that should disappear at thier presence. Wickedness and godle

Consequence of being stiff-Neck

Proverbs 29:1 HE WHO, being often reproved, hardens his neck shall suddenly be destroyed–and that without remedy. To be stiff necked is to be stubborn, obstinate and difficult to lead, a stff necked person often reject instructions and directions from another. They are proud and are wise in their own sight, whatever they do is what they believe to be the right thing. A stiff necked person is someone who always reject the directions, leading and will of God. Despite God's waning on several occasions, they still do what they desire and thought is right. A case to sturdy is the life and attitude of the Israelite towards God. Many times  He has used this figure of speech against them. The Israelite were a chosen generation by God, out of His love and the covenant He made with Abraham, He showed them great love and care, reveal His will to them,  and started guiding them through His will. they have seen the mighty power of God working wonders for them, saving them from enemies, pro

What are you doing for God?

1 Corinthians  12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. The death of Christ on the cross bridge the gap between us and God both now and eternity if we continue to live for Him till death or till He appear in the clouds to rapture the saint..  But being saved does not imply we are to be idle for Him and stay unused... The body of Christ and family of the Saint is an institution of labourers with different administrations.  What are you doing for God since you have been saved?  Many thinks working for God is only limited to those that are called to be an Apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher or a Bishop, but contrary to that, The Lord has a unique role for each of us to play. We all have our own alabaster jar to pour at Jesus feet, different administration but same Lord...  What are you doing for God, He has not saved you to be an idle sons and daughters in the garden of Christ's love and grace, you have a purpose to accomplish, you have a duty to fulfil, you

The consequences in denying Christ

Matthew  10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Christ is the only begotten son of God given as a redemption lamb for the salvation of man's soul.. Man had first sinned and come short of the glory of God, but Christ being the sacrificial lamb gives us the access to reunite with the father. John  3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   Our believing in Him, gives us a new life, a new character, a new nature both to live with men and to reign with God in eternity...2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. With many blessings Christ bring to man aside salvation which are not limited to  peace, joy, happiness, good health, love, long life and the gift of the Holy Spirit  Also, Christ is the holy route to the father, J
