Tomorrow may never come
James 4:14 How do you know what is going to happen tomorrow? For the length of your lives is as uncertain as the morning fog—now you see it; soon it is gone.
There was this man I got to know some years back, an artist by profession, very humble, respectful and jovial. He was to customise our new purchased church bus with his artistic knowledge.
That faithful day, he came to my Dad who was then the minister-in-charge at about 9am for a brief inspection on what he was to do on the bus and latter promised to come back by 3pm and do the work.. I saw him left.
But he didn't live up to that 3pm, he died on his way to another City. He had many plans, a day plan, weeks, months and years... But his life ended that very day, he never love to say goodbye.
Tomorrow may never come.
You must have experience same, you may have been told before, it may have been preached, but what wisdom have you picked from it?
We make plans for years to come... Its good to make plans, but do you know what tomorrow will bring?, are your plans derived from the wisdom of God?
There is a parable of a rich fool in the bible... Luke 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?... Till verse 20
This man had plans for many years, he had control over the economy, possessions and wealth, but he doesn't have possession over his soul. Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
The tomorrow you look for may never come, when will you acknowledge the one who has control over your soul?
Tomorrow may never come, when will you give your life to Christ, to save yourself a place in His kingdom?
Tomorrow may never come, when will you forgive that person that offended you? When will you end the grudges?
Tomorrow may never come, when will you stop to hate that person in your heart, when will you stop to think evil about them?
Tomorrow may never come, the person you thought will die today may be the person to burry you tomorrow
Tomorrow may never come, all the wealth you acquire and thought it will give you security thereby forgetting the giver of wealth... May not help you in time of death. No one has ever been saved from death when their time comes, not with money or riches.
Tomorrow may be too late, when will you show that love, care and compassion?
Today may be the last, look around you, if you die today will heaven rejoice, will the world rejoice, will the world be sad, will you regret to do what you should have done?
Tomorrow may never come,... Show that love today, preach that message today, give that offering today, end that quarrel today, call that person and apologies today, end that addiction today, stop that fornication today, stop that adultery today, stop that gossip today, stop that evil today.
Has God told you to do something and you are postponing till tomorrow?, that tomorrow may never come, do it today when you still have the opportunity
You do not own your life, your soul does not belong to you, so you can never tell if you will live up to that tomorrow.
Do what you've got to do today.
