Stop Procrastinating

Ecclesiastes  3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Procrastination is the action of unnecessarily and voluntarily delaying or postponing something despite knowing that there will be negative consequences for doing so.

On several occasion many people tend to procastonate one thing or the other, postponing a decision they needed to be made urgently or delaying an action that requires fast approach.

Procrastination comes in many areas of our life, it may be in career, business, choosing a life partner or rendering a help.

In the circular world, there are opportunities for success that flies around, but many are tied with time, once you procrastinate, you miss it. And opportunity missed is not always regained.

The believers in Christ who has become children of God are not left out in the habit of procrastinating, the God we serve is a God of now, and on many occasions He gives instructions that will help our journey in life.

He gives instruction, ability and even resources to accomplish these tasks but we are so endowed with the spirit of procrastination, and we choose to satisfy our own desire rather than God's will

No one can ever please God while procrastinating His will., God does not have all the luxury of time to wait for your negligence.

Consider the word of the Lord that came to the people of Israel through prophet Haggai

Haggai  1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,  1:2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.

This was a time the people had come back from the babylonia exile, after the Lord had used a gentile King, Cyrus to orchestrate their release for the purpose of rebuilding the temple of God.

Yet when these people got to their land, they forgot the commands of God, they keep procrastinating, instead of building the house of God, they kept building their own houses. Meanwhile, God shut the heavens and the land of its produce because of this.

What command has the Lord given you that you keep saying it is not yet time?

What journey has the lord told you to embark upon, but you say you are too busy at the moment?

What ministry, the poor, the program has the Lord told you to finance but you say  it is not yet time?

The Bible says  in Ecclesiastes  3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

You may have all the time to waste, but God does not have all the time to wait for your voluntary delay.

If you refuse to do His commands which he bestowed the opportunity on you, He will raise another person, and you will be totally rejected from His presence. The glory will go to another and the punishment will come over to you.

Above all,

God has been speaking to you concerning the secret sin you are nourishing, you have heard many preaching concerning your wicked acts, even as you know the words are for you, but you kept on postponing your day of salvation

Today is the best day to retrace your steps and come back to the loving God, today is the day of your salvation, tomorrow may be too late.

You don't know the exact time you will die, it may even be now, will you die and open your eyes to eternity of suffering and pain? Make your decision now

Whatever God has told you to do, do it now and stop procrastinating.

God does not have the luxury of time to wait for your nonchalant attitude toward His words. There is time for everything, your time is passing by and your blessings withheld when you procrastinate.

God bless you.
