Rest In Peace ( R. I. P. )

Revelation  21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rest in peace, a phrase from the Latin requiescat in pace, is sometimes used in traditional Christian services and prayers for the dead... And it is most time inscribed on the tomb of any Christian who died.

Rest in peace is not just a messages of farewell to the dead but a message to depicts where the dead will wake up to in after life.

This world is full of tribulation, persecution and war, but Christ affirmed that He has overcome the world. John  16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Christ is the peace of the world, he was the solution to the death in sin of man, he gave everlasting life through His death on the cross and whoever thus believes in him will have same life after death.

A dead can only rest in peace if he/she dies in Christ the peace that God gave to the world... Though they may  experience tribulations in this world, they may experience persecution, pain, hatred, rejection and war, but as soon as they die, they are guaranteed of resting in the peace of Christ.

Not everyone that died as a Christian will rest in peace, because many lived in hypocrisy, thinking they are in Christ, whereas their works is of evil... They will wake up to eternal torment and pain instead of eternal peace with God.

For those they truly died in Christ,  God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.Revelation  21:4

As you are living your life day by day, do you have the confidence that you will rest in peace once you die?

If the works of the flesh still manifest in your life, there is no possibility that you will rest in peace when you die. The works of the flesh which includes... Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,  Envying, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: will deny those who have them the eternal peace after death.

Check your life today and know if you will truly rest in peace or wake up to eternal condensation, torment and sorrow.

It is not too late to claim your place in the heart of the Prince of peace.   Repent from all your sins and walk in the righteousness of God.

God bless you.
