Come and See, Go and Tell

Matthew  28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary had went to see the tomb of Jesus Christ, they could have been discussing who would roll away the stone, they wanted to confirm the truth of the words of Christ, they wanted to have a first hand information about the resurrection Christ talked about.

When they arrived at the tomb, God had done what no man can do. He rolled away the stone in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

The angel beckoned on them to come and see the goodness and marvelous work of God. To come and see that death could not hold Him, neither the grave. Not even the roman soldiers were able to stop the stone from rolling, and God suffered not his body to know decay.

Just as the angel called unto the women to come and see, so also Christ is calling on you to come and have a life changing and soul lifting experience with Him.

He is calling you to come and clear your doubt about the potency of the power of God.

He is calling you to cast your cares on him, trusting in him and having your hope steadfastly focused on him alone.

After the confirmation of the resurrected Christ, Mary magdalena ran quickly to inform Peter and the other apostles

It is not possible for you to encounter the resurrected Christ and keep the good news to yourself, it must extend to everyone around you. Just like the Samaritan woman who encounter Christ the living water. She went into town proclaiming Christ is the Lord. John  4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,  4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

If you are yet to encounter Christ as your Lord and saviour, come and see, that the Lord is good, come and experience the one who has power over death and life.

And if you have encounter Christ, go and Tell to the whole world that he is risen from the dead, tell the world of the wonderful things he has done for you, be His witness in every places you go. Don't be shy and greedy by keeping the goodness of God to yourself alone, as He has commanded in Acts  1:8... and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The risen Christ is for your life to be transformed into the likeness of God and for you to tell others about Him .

Don't disappoint God.

God bless you.
