Do not miss your opportunity
John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
Every moment of greatness, success, deliverance and breakthrough are product of an opportunity that was recognised and utilized.
Our life is preprogrammed by God which can at one point or the other be altered by us through our actions, towards life and God. Nevertheless, God wants the best for us, so in other to get us back into his program or get the best out of him, he brings opportunities into our ways...
There was a man who had been crippled for thirty eight years who was forgotten at the pool of bethesda, perhaps if an angel would come and stair the water he would be healed... But for good thirty eight years his life remain the same.
On a faithful day his life would receive a total turnaround, came Jesus Christ to the pool, an opportunity was presented before him, an open check that would transform his life... Instead of giving the right answer to a simple question from the Lord... He started telling stories of all his experiences for the past thirty eight years... Thanks to the compassionate Lord who never settle for his regrettable stories.
Sometimes, when God present opportunities before us, we need not to start telling stories of past regret, failure, challenges and difficulties... All we have to do is to grasp the opportunities because they only last for a moment.
Rebekah would have lost her chance of becoming the wife of Isaac if she had acted wrongly to Abraham’s slave. But she took hold of the opportunity without knowing what blessing that is coming out of it. Genesis 24:17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. 24:18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink. 24:19 And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
when opportunity knocks at our door, sometimes it doesn't sound more than the sound of our heartbeat.. Quick response to it will save our life from struggles.
Opportunities can come in form of problems, challenges, demotion, failure etc... Don't miss it because it comes in a misleading costume. Listen to the voice of the spirit of God that speaks to your heart.
The opportunity of being saved eternally has been presented to you and also is being presented... How well have you respond to it?, don't ever regret missing this such a wonderful opportunity. Give your life to Christ and save yourself from eternal doom.
Do not miss the opportunity to preach to that sinner... God has layed it in your heart but you are not wiling... The soul committed to your hands and ministry must not waste away because of your negligence.
An opportunity lost sometimes can never be regained.
