Don't limit God
2 Kings 7:19 Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said, “Now look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?” And he had said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
Limitations are restraint to the value of something or someone, it is a full stop to the extent something or someone can operate.
God is a supreme being who made everything that ever existed to come to place, He can never be limited by any power, rule or protocols. Only humans can be limited because there is an extent to which man's power, knowledge, or intellects can operate.
As a believer in Christ who is the son of God, we must rest in His power for anything we may ever need when faced with life challenges and difficult situations
Limiting God in our life is limiting the flow of God's power, grace, deliverance and provisions.
Causes of limiting God.
1. Doubt.
Our doubt in God if He is capable of fighting our battle or kind enough to bless us is one of the tool the devil use to obstruct our relationship with God. When we doubt God, we limit Him, we limit His power that ought to manifest in our life.
2. Fear.
Fear is an unpleasant emotion or thought that you have when you are frightened or worried by something dangerous painful, or bad that is happening or might happen.
Fear has stopped many from succeeding or reaching the Zenithal of their destiny. Our walk with God is often full of uncertainty with a promising end, it comes with unreasonable instructions that defy human knowledge and understanding, yet, for God to fully operate in our life, we must not limit Him through our fear.
There was famine in the land Israel because Samaria was besieged by King Ben-hadad. The famine got more intense to the point people were killing their own children for food in other not to die of hunger.
But the prophet of God who knows what God is capable of prophesied that there would be plenty of food on the next day... 2 Kings 7:1Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ”
This is like saying a brand new tesla car will be sold for a thousand dollars, or a liter of fuel in Nigeria will be sold for fifty naira... To man, it is never going to be possible... But to God it is possible
But an officer limited the power of God and said... 2 Kings 7:19 Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said, “Now look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?” And he had said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
God manifest himself and truly there was plenty of food the following day just as the man of God had prophesied.
Limiting God hinders blessings.
Limiting God prolong God's promises without fulfilling
Limiting God makes us become slaves to fear and satan.
Limiting God pave way for the devil to take control over our life
Limiting God makes us unfaithful.
What promises has the Lord given you?
What has God prophesied concerning your life
What step has the Lord told you to take but you think it's not possible, because you have examined and cross-examined the modality God wants to use and is not making sense as human..
I say to you, don't doubt God by limiting His power.
If God can provide food for thousands of soul of the children of Israel in the desert, how much more you?
If God can give a child to Sarah who has reached menopause at her old age, how much more you?
If God can bless Obededom withing three months, how much more you?
The only reason God is not manifesting His full power in your life yet is because you are limiting Him.
Replace your fear with faith and stand in His promises. God can do more than what you have read in the Scriptures or the ones said to you...
In all you do, don't ever limit God.
God bless you...
