Fellowship with God

1 John  1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The first purpose of man's existence is to have a fellowship with God, this He does by continual visitation  to man in the garden before sin came.

Satan understood the only means to break the fellowship of man with God is to introduce sin, when man sinned, the relationship of God with man through fellowship became broken. Man is no longer worthy to stand before God.

But glory to God for His infinite love towards man by bridging the gap between Him and man through the sacrificial life of Christ on the cross 

For us to re-establish this fellowship again with God through Christ, then we must walk in the light of God which is evidence in Christ Jesus.

This light is the light of righteousness and holiness, we must live above sin and walk in the newness of Him that called us.

If we say we have fellowship with God and walk in the darkness of sin, then we lie and the truth of God is not in us. Our fellowship with God must be an evidence of newness in Christ and our walk in the light of righteousness and holiness.

Many today proclaim to have a fellowship with God and yet engage in secret sin, many are still exhibiting the trait of old nature such as Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,   Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,   Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, among others.

No one can deceive God, He does not reside where sin abound, if you truly desire to have a fellowship with God, then you must do away with sin and walk in the light of righteousness and holiness which are found in the life of Christ Jesus.

Fellowshipping with God is the best relationship a man can ever have, because in it is peace, unlimited joy and abundance of grace.

Desire it today.
