A lying tongue

Proverbs  26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Lie is  a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth. · something intended or serving to convey a false impression;

Liars take no pity on those they crush with their lies, and flattery spoils everyone it touches.

God hates a "lying tongue" because it destroys God's truth. It is the lie that a man tells himself and others that allow him to avoid living for God properly.

As followers of the One, True God, we are to be seekers of the Truth, not self-seekers. Paul warned about being a person who chooses to do the latter.
“But for those who are selfishly ambitious and self-seeking and disobedient to the truth but responsive to wickedness, [there will be] wrath and indignation.” -Romans 2:8 (AMP)

The Lord spoke these words through Zechariah the prophet to the people of Israel:
“These are the things which you should do: speak the truth with one another; judge with truth and pronounce the judgment that brings peace in [the courts at] your gates. And let none of you devise or even imagine evil in your heart against another, and do not love lying or half-truths; for all these things I hate,’ declares the Lord.” -Zechariah 8:16-17 (AMP)

A lying tongue will lead to misery. A lie has no legs. It requires other lies to support it. Tell one lie and you are forced to tell others to back it up. It is best to say the truth so as to be free from its bondage

Gehazi lied before his master who knows the truth through the help of the spirit of God, His life and ministerial journey ended in misery.

You can never succeed with a lying tongue, the truth will be revealed one day and shame will be the end of you. All. You have acquired with lies will come to nought. It is better to the truth be revealed

You must be alert and always on your guard, listening to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in order that you will not be taken in by the liar or lies . Seek the Truth and the Truth will set you free.
