Restoration of broken paths
Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
Restoration is the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition.
Our life had first been in the perfect state of God's grace and blessing, but Satan came and break our relationship with God, this makes us to lose our place in Him.
God in His infinite mercy provided a means through which our path of righteousness that has been broken can be restored back to its perfect state or even better.
Jesus Christ came, died and amended our broken life, spirit and relationship with God. That, if any man can humble under His authority, there will be a total restoration. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
restoration is always in abundance. When something is restored, it is always better than it was in the begining. God's promise to us is a better way, a better life, a better future for ourselves and our loved ones.
Examples of Restoration.
The life of Job
In one day, Job lost his 10 children along with all his possessions and wealth. Shortly after, he was afflicted with a horrible skin disease. (Job chapters 1-2 .)
Job didn’t understand why he had to suffer so much. So, throughout the book of Job, we see him expressing heartache and anger at the pain and suffering God was allowing. We also see evidence of his impatience regarding how long it was taking God to bring about restoration.
Yet through it all — and despite his human emotions — Job never doubted that full surrender and trust was necessary. In Job 1:21b he even says, “The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!” Despite his suffering, he trusted God’s will for his life and continued to praise Him. As a result, not only did Job’s faith soar, but his life did as well.
Eventually in Job 42, we read how God blessed Job and his faithfulness in every way. Today’s key verse, Job 42:10b, says, “… the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before!” God gave Job a double portion of all he’d lost, restored his marriage and many relationships, gave him a new household of children and allowed him to live happily to a ripe old age.
2. The children of Israel.
Genesis 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
God had first placed a curse on Abram's seed, that they will be slaves in the foreign land, it came to pass when Joseph was sold to Egypt. A new king came to power many years after who knew not Joseph, so this ushered in the begining of their suffering.
For the words of God will surely come to pass, as promised He restored them back to their own land which He had swear to Abraham and Isaac
I don't know what is broken in your life today,
Whether it’s your heart, finances, relationship, or life that need mending, God always has a plan to heal and restore. Although I don’t know God’s exact plans for my future, I do know He is good, and I fully believe restoring my heart and my life are on His holy to-do list.
Total surrender and faithfulness will always open the door for God’s restoration to begin.
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Maybe your relationship with God is broken, you struggle from one sin to another, you know how God used you in the past, but now you feel empty and broken.. God can restore your life back to the way it was before... Only if you allow Him to.
King david prayed
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
If you also can humble yourself before the king of Kings, and seek His face, then He will restore you according to His loving kindness.
Whatever that is broken in your life, your health, finances, marriage, your relationship with God, ministry, etc... They can be restored back to the perfect state God wanted.
Give Him a chance... Job didn't give up, rather his faith became stronger and at the end, His latter days was better than the former.
So also will God do in your life.
Trust, believe, and have faith in Him.
God bless you.
