Our full potential in Christ
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
At first we were locked up in sin, bound together with curses and old handwritten that was written against us which was contrary to our destiny, greatness and Union with our God.
But in Christ we have freedom, forgiveness, power, grace and dominion over any principalities.
The moment we accept Christ as our Lord we already have the DNA of Christ in us, we already share in His body and spirit and His full personality flows in our veins.
We have been engraved in the heart of God as heirs in His eternal kingdom..
But..
If truly you have been identified with Christ,
Why should you be troubled by the devil?
Why should you be afraid of family curses/generational problem?
Why should you still have oppressors in your dreams?
Why should you pray and heaven is not open unto you?
Your full potential in Christ is the evidence of Christ in you, He is the light and as you carry Christ, you have become the light of the world.
Believing in Christ means no weapon, principalities or forces of darkness can overcome or have dominion over your life. (Galatians 6:17)
The reason we suffer long is because we only bear the name Christ but do not believe in the totality of Christ. A believer in Christ exhibits the full characteristics and nature of Christ.
Apostle Paul said, as you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him, rooted, and built up in him, established in the faith. Colossians 2:6
Who is a Christian.... At Antioch, believers, disciples of Christ were first called Christians, because they saw the character of christ, His love, sacrifice, care and forgiving spirit in them.
But today, the name "Christian" does not any longer proof the totality of one being a believer of Christ. You can't be a believer in Christ and deceive your brother, You can't be a believer and keep hypocrisy, pride, jealousy and hated in your heart.
How can you be a believer in Christ and indulge in sexual immorality?
As a believer of Christ Jesus, the devil has no power over your life, family, education etc. All he can do is to tempt you to sin.
you have the full power of christ in you, to decree and declare, to rule over thee power of darkness, and You can only exhibit all these only if you continually stay in christ and grow in Him..
You stay in Christ by running away from all forms of sin, exhibiting the true love of Christ, even to love your enemy.
You grow in Christ by reading His words daily and trusting them for your daily life and also obeying all His commandments given to you.
Check yourself, with all forms of humility and self reflection and see where you truly stand in Christ Jesus.
When you are complete in Christ, the channel of your spirit will open up, and the rivers of living water will flow through you.
If your gift is vision, there will be endless to it.
If yours is composing songs... You will never be void of songs from God, He will keep giving you everyday
Is yours message of truth? ... Never will you be short of his words.
Be full of Christ and see yourself operating in the maximum of God.
