Christ is the patience of God

Romans  8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Patience is described as either forbearance or endurance. In the former sense it is a quality of self-restraint or of not giving way to anger, even in the face of provocation; it is attributed to both God and man and is closely related to mercy and compassion.

God's relationship with man before the Coming of the Lord Jesus has always been on laws and commandment... Starting from the garden of eden.

After the creation of man and placement in the garden, God gave man a commandment which is beneficial for their continual stay in the garden..

Man failed God and He didn't hesitate to pass judgment on man immediately... The nature of God does not condole sin.

On many other occasion he has exhibited the same character... Though God is a loving father but He does not tolerate disobedience and evil.

Cane killed Abel...
Genesis  4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Not long that day God asked of the evil he just did... The same minute judgement was passed on him... Genesis  4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?  4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.  4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

David killed Uriah and slept with his wife.

David had slept with Uriah's wife, and in the process to keep it a secret after the woman conceived, he killed her husband. 2 Samuel  11:15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.  11:17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

As much as David was a man behind God's heart, He didn't hesitate to pass judgment upon him through prophet Nathan.. David  asked for forgiveness but the judgement of God came to pass upon him...

The same God of old, is the same God today... The reason God has not passed  judgement on you yet is because of his patience.... And that is Jesus Christ.

His death on the cross and resurrection becomes a tool that slows or reduced God's anger on man.. It gives man more time to repent rather than experiencing the wrath of God immediately after sinning.

The fact that your secret of sin is not  revealed to the public is not a prerequisite to continue in sin or that God does not take notice.... It is actually Christ interceding for you so as for you to repent from your sin instead of being judged at once.

Christ is the patience of God if not, your life of sin would have experienced the wrath of God.

What happens if you ran out of the patience of God?, a day is coming when the blood of Christ will not be able to hold God any longer from unleashing His wrath... That's when the trumpet shall sound or you die in sin.

Repent from your way of sin, and save yourself form the wrath of God that is coming upon you.

God's long-suffering and patience is Christ Jesus... Don't take it for granted.

God bless you.
