Power of Word
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
The words we speak revolves around life and death, our life can experience blessing if the words that proceed from our mouth is seasoned with grace, so also if we continually speak evil, our life can experience destruction.
Words that proceed from our mouth is life itself, either they are good words or evil words... Whichever we master will have its expression in our life.
Evil words are destiny destroyer, it can redefine God's purpose and plan for one's life, its very powerful that it takes effect faster in the life of the recipient than the good words spoken.
It is a seed planted in the soil of one's life, which can take years to bring fruit, ones it takes root, it becomes the greatest enemy of one's life.
Many are suffering from it today and until they dig deep to it's root and cut it down, fruits of failure, disappointment, sorrow, pain, death etc will continue to show forth in the life of such person.
The words that proceeds from our mouth is powerful and carries authority, as a believer we should always be conscious of what proceeds out of our mouth either when we are in good time or in bad times.
Proverbs 12:6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
The wicked always speak evil and it devours, but the words that comes out of the mouth of an upright man is life and is able to deliver.
Jesus Christ the word himself was passing by on the morrow coming out of Bethany but was hungry. He came by a fig tree and was delighted He would be able to quench his hunger once he gets some figs..
Mark 11:12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
But He was disappointed by the tree for it has no figs, the word that proceed out of the mouth of Christ made the tree to dry off and never bear fruit again. This happen because He spoke with authority.
11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
As a believers we should always be conscious of what comes out of our mouth, irrespective of the circumstances we find ourselves.
Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Believers should ensure our communication is not corruptible and is filled with grace... We should bless always with all humility.
The words that proceeds out of our mouth can either make or Mar our life. Make use of the power on your tongue rightly.
