Christ Witnesses

Acts  1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. A witness is a person who sees an event, typically a crime or accident, take place. it is someone who can adequately document an event just as it happens.  The disciples was about to see Christ taken up to heaven, and He gave them this commission that, they will be His witness throughout Jerusalem, judea, Samaria and the rest of the world.  They have had cordial relationship with Christ throughout his ministerial journey, crucification and resurrection, and all this experiences must become their message anywhere they find themselves.  The same commission given to the disciples to be witnesses is also given to anyone who has identified themselves with Christ and has chosen Him as their lord and personal saviour..  We may not physically have evidences of the life and death of Chr

The works of Satan

John  10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Satan the old serpent is the advisory of God's people, He work against all that is good and right in order to bring into destruction the works of God.  Every thing that ever existed and will ever exist were made by the divine wisdom of God, and Satan is on the quest to destroy it, especially humans that were made in the likeness and image of God.  He started by deceiving the first humans, and brought sin into the world, this led to the destruction of any who follow suit in the act of sin.  In other to stay guided from the deceit of Satan, a believer must be conscious of his works around.  1. He Tempts  Matthew  4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. The very first thing Satan does in the life of any believer is to tempt the person to sin... he has no power or dominion over

Our full potential in Christ

Colossians  2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:  At first we were locked up in sin, bound together with curses and old handwritten that was written against us which was contrary to our destiny, greatness and Union with our God. But in Christ we have freedom, forgiveness, power, grace and dominion over any principalities. The moment we accept Christ as our Lord we already have the DNA of Christ in us, we already share in His body and spirit and His full personality flows in our veins. We have been engraved in the heart of God as heirs in His eternal kingdom.. But.. If truly you have been identified with Christ, Why should you be troubled by the devil? Why should you be afraid of family curses/generational problem? Why should you still have oppressors in your dreams? Why shou

The heart of Man

Jeremiah  17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?  17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. In the Bible, the heart is considered the seat of life or strength. Hence, it means mind, soul, spirit, or one's entire emotional nature and understanding. God created man in his own likeness full of righteousness and holiness, but the moment satan deceived man, his heart becomes corrupted and filled with evil.  God repented at a time that He created man, because all a man could think everyday is desperately evil... Genesis  6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.  The heart of man can be deceiving, it can give a smiling face yet, it harbor evi

Christ is the patience of God

Romans  8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Patience is described as either forbearance or endurance. In the former sense it is a quality of self-restraint or of not giving way to anger, even in the face of provocation; it is attributed to both God and man and is closely related to mercy and compassion. God's relationship with man before the Coming of the Lord Jesus has always been on laws and commandment... Starting from the garden of eden. After the creation of man and placement in the garden, God gave man a commandment which is beneficial for their continual stay in the garden.. Man failed God and He didn't hesitate to pass judgment on man immediately... The nature of God does not condole sin. On many other occasion he has exhibited the same character... Though God is a loving father but He does not tolerate disobedience and evil. Cane killed

Do not Compromise your faith

Genesis  39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Our love for God in times of trails or temptation is the product of our faith in Him.   God demands for total faithfulness, dependant, and love from us, because  He is the  source of our loving.  The world we  live in sometimes doesn't promise us we will have a good and pleasant life through our  journey... Sometimes we are faced with difficulties, heartbreaks, disappointments, failure among  others  Sometimes the Lord bring trials before us in other to test our level of faith in Him, while on the other hand the devil inflict our life so as to compromise our faith in God.  Joseph had first experienced love from his father while growing up, but suddenly the love became shattered, he was casted into a dry pit, and latter sold into slavery by his own  blood brothers.  His experience shou

Trials Transform Us

2 Chronicles 33:12. Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.  Manasseh was just twelve years old when he began to reign over Judah, he didn't follow the steps of his father Hezekiah, he did evil in the sight of God, worshiped idols and performed sorcery, he even made the people of Judah and the inhabitant of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations God had destroyed before them.  Some people would never come to the Lord at all, and would have been lost forever, if it were not for ‘problems’. For many years, King Manasseh lived as a filthy vicious idol worshipper.  The Lord sent prophets to warn him and his people, but they paid no attention. Things seemed to be going very well. Then, the Lord took a different approach. He prompted a foreign army to launch an invasion (2 Chro 33:10,11). At last, God got the king’s attention (vv. 12,13). It is easy to ignore an occasional word of warning from a preacher,

Your Influencer

Genesis  40:14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: An influencer is someone who has the power to affect the purchasing decisions of others because of his or her authority, knowledge, position, or relationship with his or her audience. God most time strategically place people around us, or take us to a place where we would be influenced for success... Though we pray, but He won't come down from heaven to put things in other, but He has power to move people for us so we can get to where we need to be in life.  These influencer may not be easily recognisable contrary to the ones we have in the contemporary world, in fact, most time, their identity is hiden for a time be. Joseph's influencer was in prison, God needed him to be in the Palace next to the king but there is no better way to sit at the right hand of the king if not by first going to the prison... Be

Anyone can be Saved

Acts  2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The salvation God gave through Jesus Christ is not limited to some sets of people, or tribe, or nation... It is for all... John  3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. It is in God's desire and will that all be saved if they can hear the Gospel of truth and believe in Christ the only perfect sacrifice given for man's redemption.  But, it is so sad today that many has segregated the "yet to know Christ"... They separate themselves from those they ought to preach to, they starve  those who ought to to be fed with  the bread of life... And when a sinner dies in sin they rejoice.  Romans  3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; All humanity has fallen short of that which is required for one to dwell in the presence of God. The result of the l

The danger of being a GIFTED SINNER

Matthew  7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Gifts are essential grace given to an individual in the administration of the church to edify souls profiting the kingdom of God. God gave in abundance to whom He pleases and as the measure anyone can carry.  The different kinds of gift are listed...  1 Corinthians  12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.  12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.  12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;  12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;  12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another

Christ, the knowledge of God

1 Corinthians  1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Christ Jesus is generally known as the only begotten son of God that was sent to redeem mankind from the eternal doom.John  3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There is more that one should know about Christ aside being the only begotten son of God... He is the wisdom and power of the living God.  Jesus Christ is the reflection or representation of the cheater and attributes of God. Though the creation communicates the existence of God, but we can only know the character of God only through a personal revelation of God.  Those who can never get past the physical environment of this world in their search for God, will never come to true knowledge of God unless they come through Christ. He said...John  14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and t

Have you confessed Christ?

Matthew  10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.c Jesus Christ is our redeemer who came to this world to perfect the work of our redemption on the cross of calvary. He was the love God gave to the whole world that whoever believes in him shall not perish in the eternal doom but have everlasting life.   John  3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. His teachings and commands is therefore paramount to follow for anyone who will receive this new life, whoever that believes in Him is expected to confess him as Lord and personal saviour both in speech and in deeds. But sadly today, many only appear as followers  of Christ but are yet to confess Him as their saviour, their behaviour is totally different from that of Christ unlike the believers in Antioch who were named after Christ because of their replicated character of C

The burden of Jerusalem

Nehemiah  2:3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? It was a time of great hardship for the inhabitant of Jerusalem, Nehimaiah was born in  exile together with many and were made to serve as slaves in different places.  Being a cup bearer in the King's Court who enjoys the Palace merriment better than other slaves, he never forget his home. The news of Jerusalem being in ruins breaks his heart and was so much devastated.  In this mood of sadness he was called to resume his duty by serving the king with wine... He was so much consumed with the burden of his home to the point  king Artaxerxes noticed his countenance.. He was not afraid to give detailed explanation on what the matter is when being asked...  Meanwhile, he had first prayed to God for help, for favour and grace before the King whenever he would present the

Tame your Anger

James  1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:  1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Some years back when I was an undergraduate, I was opportune to be the course rep for one of my courses. We were to submit some paper works and I have to arrange everyone on a single file due to the high number of students in my department.  A colleague wrongly accused me of allowing  some persons obstruct the file, this got me angry and I spoke out of annoyance, my anger prompted the course lecturer to come out of her office, collected his paper works and tore it into pieces because  she knew what I went through since the begining of the day.  Though it caused a minimal damage and I had to plead with her before she could accept the new paper work he did.  What if it is an irreplaceable damage.. That was how my anger would have destroy someone's career.  Sometimes when we are pressed with the circumstances around

Restoration of broken paths

Jeremiah  30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Restoration is the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition. Our life had first been in the perfect state of God's grace and blessing, but Satan came and break our relationship with God,  this makes us to lose our place in Him. God in His infinite mercy provided a means through which our path of righteousness that has been broken can be restored  back to its perfect state or even better. Jesus Christ came, died and amended our broken life, spirit and relationship with God. That, if any man can humble under His authority, there will be a total restoration. 2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. restoration is always in abundance. When something is restored, it is

Do you think your Obedience is Enough?

Genesis  22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. Obedience to God is to hear, trust, submit and surrender to God and His word.  God created us and places us into this world, everything we would  ever be or become is perfectly known to Him, He knows our end from the begining so He give instructions that can chanel our lives towards a perfect ending and also for us to maintain an unbroken relationship with Him.  His instructions are given from time to time as we live our life, though these instructions may not be palatable to us, it may looks difficult to comprehend, but if we humbly accept them and act accordingly as He has directed, there are blessings that follow.   Today, many obey God and act accordingly to his instructions, but at a point, we assume our obedience to God is enough for God to bless us or keep us away f

Time Management

Ephesians 5: 15-17 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,  redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Time is the measure of  a man's existence, it  is man's  most precious resource. It is perishable and irreplaceable.  God in his grace has given us all the same amount – 24 hours per day. How we live our life from birth till death is directly related to how wisely we use the time we have. Once a child is born, his/her life becomes timed from infancy, childhood to adolescence and eventually adulthood and are preprogrammed with several life activities which must come after the other so as to guarantee success, if any time space is missed, then failure and obstruction of success sets  in. So also in the ways and pattern God designed our life, everything we will ever become in life and in him are placed with time... And He expect us to respond to each phases of life per time.

The Lord's Prayer

Matthew  6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name...  Prayer is the channel through which you connect to the spirit realm, it is a medium through which we communicate to God where we express our desires and we receive His desires in return.  As much as we connect with God through prayer, many has found it difficult to receive from God, mainly because we are ignorance of the rules guiding  praying  to God.  A disciple acknowledged his ignorance of how to  accurately pray to God, so he seek wisdom and  beckoned on Christ to know how to pray.  Matthew  6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.  6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for e

Give me to Drink

John  4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. Jesus had just completed his ministerial work in judea and need to press forward unto Galilie, but there must  be a means to pass through Samaria. He came to a city in the country of Samaria called Sychar, being tired, He sat on a well which belong to Jacob. A woman of Samaria came to draw water, so Christ beckoned that she should give Him to drink... John  4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. The scenario that occurred between Christ and this woman is wisdom that every believer in Christ should desire of. Christ being God in man was tired... Because he carries the mortal body.... Him, being the son of God does not proves that He misuses His divine power... He subjected himself to the realm of this world. He desired to drink, He could have used the divine power to command water out of the well with ease, His track record of performi

God's law; our Guidance

Deuteronomy  10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,  10:13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? God's  Law is the sum total of His requirements and expectations for man’s behaviour, words, and attitude. It is a guide for our daily living here on earth among fellow humans and our pathway to His kingdom.  When Adam and Eve was created, he made a law that should guide them through their life in the garden, but they disobey and choose the side of destruction.  God is not a wicked person who Imposes difficult instructions on his subject, all His laws are as a product of His love towards us. After the Exodus of the children of Israel from the land of slavery, God gave them laws to follow, and these  laws is to enforce discipline, righteousness, holiness, an

God behind the Scene

Genesis  50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. While growing up as a kid I always wonder how some movies were put out together, at first it may not make meaning or any sense especially the ones with series of episodes, but at the end the first scene will make a meaning.  So also the way God works in our life, His first step to our  deliverance, redemption, blessing or upliftment may not make any meaning at all to us as man but the end result will surely justify His first instruction that makes no sense. He is actually working behind the Scene to bring every pieces together for our best.  At some point our destination may be at the North, but His instruction first reads "take the route to the south".  It may makes no meaning because we are actually traveling in the opposite direction of our destination. Yet, that's the best way to bring us to our very desired destination

Your sin will find You

Numbers  32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. Sin is an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. Sin is most time a concealment of secret which is against the law.  When sin occur, the very first thing a sinner will be afraid of is fear of being exposed,  Sin is a jailer that keeps the sinner in prison of fear of being expose but sooner or latter, if sin is not confessed it will definitely expose the  sinner in a disgraceful and shameful manner.  Numbers  32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.  Moses reminded  the tribes of Gad and Reuben of a promise they made to help the other tribes settle in Canaan land. They wanted to settle west of the Jordan River, However, they promised to help the rest of the Israelite drive the Canaanites out of the Promised Land on the east side of the Jordan. Moses told them, if they re
