Tame your anger

2 Kings  2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.  2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong.

From the verse above,  just immediately Elisha got his power in the process of succeeding his master,  the first application of his power was to kill 42 children out of anger.

One would say he did the right thing,  reason because he was mocked.,  but..

Those children were recorded in the Bible to be little children,  not teenagers,  those who are still innocent to life matters

Those children never understand the personality of Elisha

*Those 42 children would have become 42 glorious adults and men of that city*

*42 little children would have become 42 great prophets of that city*

*42 little children would have become 42 generations*

*But their lives  were cut short,  just because of their little mistake.*

Anger can cause unrepairable damage in one's life if not tamed.
Moreso the book of  James  1:19-20 says, ... Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:  1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Jesus Christ has given us the spirit of long suffering and patience,  let us allow the spirit of God to overrule the anger in us.

*As you continue to live your life,,,, always remember,  proverb 25:28 GNB “If you cannot control your anger, you are helpless as a city without walls, open to attack*

Always tame your anger,  be quick to hear,  and be slow to speak.

God bless you
