Those that served God truly
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The joy of every service is in the benefits, wages or honorarium that would be given at the end. Believers in Christ are not exempted, our scriptural text today speaks of the eternal reward awaiting those who have faithfully followed the Lord.
This verse reminds us that in the presence of our Heavenly Father, all suffering and sorrow will cease to exist. Our tears will be wiped away, and the pain we experienced in this earthly realm will be forever forgotten. The promise of divine comfort resonates deeply within our hearts, offering solace to those who have faithfully served God.
Death, the great adversary of humanity, will be conquered once and for all in the presence of our Lord. For those who have truly served God, the sting of death loses its power.
Our mortal bodies, subject to decay and weakness, will be transformed into glorious bodies, free from the limitations of this earthly existence. In that glorious day, death shall be no more, and the promise of eternal life will be fully realized.
As followers of Christ, we have experienced moments of mourning and crying throughout our journey. We have faced trials, loss, and heartache. But in the presence of our Heavenly Father, those tears will be wiped away forever.
No more will we lament the brokenness of this world or shed tears of sorrow. The joy of the Lord will be our eternal portion, and our hearts will overflow with a joy that knows no end.
The Lord assures us that pain will be banished from our existence. The afflictions that have marred our lives will be no more. The physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering we endured in this life will fade away.
In the presence of our loving Father, our souls will find perfect peace and eternal rest. The former things, marked by pain and suffering, will be left behind, replaced by a new and glorious reality.
No man would ever wish to miss this glorious promises, but our actions and inactions can deny us of it if we do not live according to His purpose and will for our life. And if we fail to serve Him with the whole of Our heart.
Let us be encouraged by these promises and inspired by the lives of those who have faithfully served our Heavenly Father. May their examples spur us on to walk in righteousness and to serve God truly.
As we go forth from this place, let us strive to live lives that reflect our devotion to God, knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
God bless you.
