Never be dismayed

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In the passage above, Jesus encourages us not to be dismayed or anxious about our lives, for our Heavenly Father knows our needs and promises to provide for us. These words resonate deeply with us, especially in times of uncertainty and hardship.

Jesus reminds us of the futility of worrying excessively about our material needs. He points to the example of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, which are cared for by God. If God takes such great care of His creation, how much more will He provide for His children, who are created in His image? We must trust that God is aware of our needs and will fulfill them according to His perfect plan.

Jesus implores us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Instead of being preoccupied with worldly concerns and consumed by anxiety, we are called to prioritize our relationship with God.

When we seek His Kingdom, we align our hearts and minds with His will, and we place our trust in Him above all else. By seeking His righteousness, we acknowledge that true fulfillment and contentment come from living in accordance with God's principles.

Our Heavenly Father is not a distant or uncaring God. In verse 32, Jesus assures us that God knows our needs. He understands our desires, concerns, and struggles.

He is aware of every detail of our lives. When we trust in Him and seek His Kingdom, we can rest assured that He will provide for us abundantly. It may not always be in the way we expect, but God's provision will always be sufficient and perfectly timed.

Dismay and anxiety can easily overwhelm us in the face of challenges, trials, and uncertainty. However, Jesus teaches us to rise above these feelings and place our faith in God.

Instead of allowing ourselves to be consumed by worry, we should remember that God is faithful and capable of bringing about the best outcomes for our lives. Even in the darkest moments, we can find solace and strength in knowing that God is with us, guiding us, and providing for us.

Let us cast aside our worries and fears, knowing that our Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and will provide for us. May we seek first His Kingdom, placing our trust in Him and living in alignment with His righteousness. In doing so, we can find peace in the midst of chaos, hope in times of despair, and unwavering faith in God's steadfast love and care.

God bless you.
