Sparingly Seeds

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

In our lives, we often desire to experience abundance, blessings, and God's favor. And in His divine wisdom, He has provided us with the key to unlocking these blessings. This he has given us through the scripture

In 2 Corinthians 9:6, the apostle Paul reminds us, "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." This verse encapsulates a fundamental spiritual principle that extends beyond the realm of agriculture. Just as a farmer reaps what they sow, our acts of giving and generosity yield results in our lives.

Luke 6:38 expounds on the principle of sowing and reaping in the context of generosity. Jesus says, "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." These words of Jesus highlight the divine economy of giving. When we give freely, God promises to give back to us in abundance. The heart behind our generosity matters; it is not merely the act of giving, but the attitude of our hearts that God truly values.

Sometimes, out of fear, doubt, or a scarcity mindset, we find ourselves sowing sparingly. We hold back, thinking that by keeping more for ourselves, we will have enough. However, this mindset goes against the very essence of God's economy. When we sow sparingly, we limit the potential for blessings in our lives and hinder God's work in and through us. Instead of embracing abundance, we settle for scarcity.

On the other hand, when we sow bountifully, we align ourselves with God's abundant nature. We recognize that all we have is a gift from Him, and in gratitude, we freely give to others. This act of faith demonstrates our trust in God's provision and His ability to multiply what we sow. It is not about giving with a motive to receive, but rather a response of love and obedience to our Heavenly Father.

God's promises never fail. When we sow bountifully, not only do we bless others, but we position ourselves to receive a bountiful harvest. We may experience blessings in various forms – emotional, spiritual, relational, and even material – as we align ourselves with God's divine plan. Our generosity has a ripple effect that goes beyond our immediate circumstances, touching lives and transforming communities.

As we continue to live our life, let us remember that sparingly seeding limits the potential of God's blessings in our lives. Instead, let us embrace the call to sow bountifully, trusting in God's abundant provision and grace.

By adopting a generous heart, we become conduits of His love and instruments of His blessings in the world. May our lives be marked by a spirit of generosity, as we eagerly sow seeds of love, kindness, resources, and talents, knowing that our harvest will be bountiful, both now and in eternity. Amen.

God bless you.
