Return to your creator

Job 22:23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. 22:24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. 22:25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

As human beings, we are prone to wander and to get lost in the ways of the world. We often forget that we are created beings, and that our ultimate purpose is to glorify God.

But when we return to our Creator, we are built up. We are strengthened and renewed. We are reminded of our true purpose and our true identity. We are reminded that we are loved by God, and that He has a plan for our lives.

Returning to our Creator also involves removing iniquity far from our tents. We must confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. We must turn away from the ways of the world and turn towards God. We must strive to live holy and righteous lives, pleasing to God.

In verse 24, we read that when we return to our Creator, we will lay our gold in the dust. This means that we will no longer place our trust in material possessions or worldly wealth. Instead, we will recognize that the Almighty is our true source of wealth and prosperity.

When we return to the Lord, He will be our gold and our precious silver. This means that He will become the most precious thing in our lives. We will treasure our relationship with Him above all else.

Our distancing or separation from our creator will make us lose some great benefits we would have enjoyed from being with Him such as, divine protection, guidance, divine providence and the glory of His presence.

Let us heed the words of Job and return to our Creator. Let us build our lives upon the solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. Let us remove iniquity far from our tents and strive to live holy and righteous lives.

Let us lay our gold in the dust and recognize that the Almighty is our true source of wealth and prosperity. And let us treasure our relationship with God above all else.

God bless you.
