The kingdom of God in you

Day1: His reign over man:

Luke  17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:  17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

This is a new series that will take two days, and the theme is THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOU,

Many of us do not understand the nature of the kingdom of God,  we do resit the lord's prayer without taking consideration of the section which says 'Thy kingdom come'

just like the pharisees who do not understand the nature of the kingdom  who asked from their understanding that the kingdom of God would be a physical kingdom of this world where Israel would enjoy prosperity and national sovereignty.

They thus asked this question because they had misunderstood Jesus's previous teachings concerning the nature of the kingdom. They were here possibly seeking for a sign of the coming of the kingdom.

The kingdom of Jesus' reign was never intended to be a physical kingdom as those of this world, it is a kingdom with authority and rule over those who submit to Jesus as king and Lord.

The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy spirit.

The kingdom of God involves relationships, relationships between God and man (righteousness), and man and man (pace and joy)

The topic for today HIS REIGN OVER MAN is exposing us to the understanding that we already have the kingdom of God in us, through His son, Jesus Christ, that by accepting Him as Lord and saviour, the kingdom of God becomes instituted in our life.  Romans 15:12 And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”

The nature of His kingdom is required righteousness and holiness, for the kingdom of God to find expression in our lives, then the reign of Christ sovereignty must overrule nature of our living both with God and man.

In the reign of Christ, He exercise divine love for everyone, both the Jews and the gentiles, His live was extended to the sinners, in which that no matter how far they night have gone in sin, they can still be redeemed back and be given a new life. This love must be explicitly defined and manifest in our life if truly the kingdom of God has been established in us and Christ reign.

1 Corinthians  3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

The institution of God's kingdom in your life makes your heart His temple,. This implies that your heart is the sit of God through where Christ reign.

1 Corinthians  3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

If them God's temple and Christ throne resides in your heart, howbeit you defiled it with all manners of sinfulness and wickedness?, your heart the temple of God that should flow with the righteousness, holiness, live, peace, joy and long-suffering has been defined with greediness, envy, hatred, pride, backbiting, gossips and all other works of the flesh.

The kingdom of God is not a physical place to behold, but it resides in your heart, when people see you, they should see the reign of Christ in you.

If the character, nature and behavioural attitude of Christ in not found in you and you claim to be a believer in Christ, then you have defiled the kingdom of God, then you have destroyed His temple.

When He reign over you the holy spirit will be your guide through everything you wish to do, He will expose Evey hidden secret and make straight your ways. Romans  15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

The kingdom of God is already in you, let reign, let Him rule over your heart. Then your life will experience the supernatural manifestation of the spirit of God.

How is the kingdom of God in you?, check your life.

God bless you.
