Confess your hidden sins
Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Sin is an immoral act considered to be a transgression of divine law, it is any action, feeling, or thought that goes against God's standards. Adam and Eve were the first creation to commit sin against God by disobeying His order.
Sin made them to hide away thinking God would not see them, but God who sees all and knows all prove them wrong when He came down for a visit.
Ever since, man has been struggling with one sin or the other, rising and falling., trying to cover up the wrongs, this was the result of fear, shame of what people will say, the stigma and pride.
Concealing your sin has devastating and dangerous effects. Any sin that is not confessed or that is excused will certainly invite the anger of a righteous and holy God against such person. The Bible says; “He that covereth his sin shall not prosper.”
Many people do not understand what it means to cover up sin. You cover up your sin when you are making excuses. You coverup your sins when you fail to take responsibility for your sins then blame others for it. You make excuses, and instead of blaming yourself, you cover up.
You may cover your sin by enveloping it in secrecy. You keep quiet and do not tell anyone about it. You may cover your sin with falsehood like Gehazi and it will lead to trouble. When you use a lie to cover up a lie, you will need another lie to cover up that lie and then you will become a perpetual liar. All liars shall have their place in the bottom of hell fire.
Covering up your sin will make you lose the presence of God around you, it will close heaven upon you and make you to experience the manifestation of the works of the devil in your life.
Remember Achan, who kept an accused thing that was commanded by God never to touch or hold, He hided it and this made the Israelite to fall before the war of Ai, he failed to confess his sins until God expose him, he perished both him and his household
Joshua 7:25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.
David raped Bathsheba and in the process of covering up his sin, he committed murder by killing Uriah her husband and thought nobody will know about it, but God who sees all exposed him by sending prophet Nathan,.. He suffered for it.
Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. 12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Whatever you do in secret that you think no one knows about it, believe me, God sees all, and in due time, it wil be exposed to the world, the shame you are avoiding through confession will come to you in full force, the fear you are avoiding through confession will hunt you down when God finally expose you
There is no secret under the heaven, as long as the earth remains, everything you do under the heaven will definitely be exposed, no matter how you present yourself to be righteous before man or holy before God
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Confession of sin is the first step to total restoration from the devil, he will try to use every possible means to stop you from confessing, he will show you the shame that will come over you, he will show you what you will lose when you confess,, the gain you make from sin, your integrity, your position, but yet he is taking you deeper in sin till you end up in hell
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) there is no prosperity for anyone who covers up his sin, there is no blessing of God for whoever who covers up his sin, there will be closed heaven upon such person.
Your unanswered prayers may be as a result of your unconfessed sins
The devil that is troubling you with sickness and spiritual attacks may be as a result of your unconfessed sin.
Unconfessed sins make you an enemy of God, no matter how you paint yourself with being righteous through religious activities, you are still an enemy of God.
You will definitely end up in hell if you fail to confess your sins
Confess your secret sin today, let God lift your burden, do not mind the shame, the stigma, the rejection it will bring, it is better for you to experience such than for you to be exposed.
You can never have a true relationship with God if you fail to confess your sins..
Go to God and confess your sins in prayer, go to the person you have wronged and open your heart, confess what you have done against them,
After confession, comes healing, you may lose your relationship with man, but you have just re-established your relationship with God.
The sins you committed against your wife/husband, confess them
The sins you committed at your place of work, confess them
The sins you committed in the church of God, confess them
The sins you committed against your friend, neighbours and colleagues, confess them.
Confess your secret sins today before it destroy you.
