Day1: Clay in the hand of the Potter
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
This is the begining of a series "The author and finisher of all", God supreme commands every happening, He make things to be and makes them not to be, He commands the begining and the end at His will, no one can question His authority For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land.(Psalm 95:4,5)
With his mighty power He has mold us to His will, He is the porter while we are His clay, he had first made us in His full glory and grace, fashioned in His likeness of righteousness and holiness, but the devil came and marred the image of God in us, then we became a faulty piece before God the potter.
Jeremiah 18:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
God wanted to teach prophet Jeremiah a lesson so He sent him to the potter's house. Jeremiah went in and watched the potter at his work. That potter took a lump of clay in his hands and placed it upon the wheel. Then as he turned the wheel his skillful hands molded the vessel into shape.
But this very piece he made was marred, so he crushed it and make another, and the very one the potter latter make becomes satisfactory, Israel had first been redeemed by the power of God with the evidence of different signs and wonders, yet they rebelled against Him. Though Israel had sinned and become marred, but God has the power to mold her again.
So also Today, you may have become marred by your rebellion with the devil through sin, your life may have become defaulted through your consistent nature of sin, but if you can surrender your life to great potter, He has the power to make you again into a master piece better than what you are made to be before.
Consider the life of Mary Magdalena
Luke 8:1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
This woman was once a person possessed with seven devils, for all her life before an encounter with Christ she had perpetrated evil in her community, her life has become totality devoted to satan being a very vital tool to destroy lives.
Imagine a life full of sorrow, a life full of evil, a life that is always hunger for wickedness, imagine how many lives she must have destroyed through the devils that possed her, imagine a life of sorrow she has been living which gave her no peace of living normally with people.
But at the instance of her encounter with Christ the greatest Potter, her life turned around, Christ took the marred piece of her life, placed it in the wheal and remake her to a master piece. There is nothing God cannot do.
Not all Gospel talks about the full ministration of Christ on earth, but they all talk about Mary magdalena, Her life afterwards became a center point of challenge to everyone, she became a resources for the ministry of Jesus Christ on earth, supporting the ministry of Christ with her substance. No matter how broken, marred or defaulted your life can be, God is able to make you to the best of His choice.
No matter how far you may have gone in sin, no matter how great your evil and wickedness have been, no matter how defaulted your life may have become, If you can surrender your life in humility to the greatest potter just like Mary magdalena did, God is able to remake you to the best you are suppose to be.
You are worthless to God and His kingdom if you remain in your defaulted state, let God perform His craftiness in your life and give your life a new meaning for He is the author and finisher of your life.
He is calling, will you answer?
