A given Authority
Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
After the creation, God gave man all authority to rule over the earth, but satan came through deceptive means to robb off the authority from man, and ever since then man has been living in the bondage of sin under the authority of satan
But God being full of mercy and grace made a way whereby man can have the authority back, Christ came as the sacrificial lamb for the redemption, He perfected the works on the cross and said it is finished.. At His resurrection all power and authority was give back to Him and as we have him in our life as Lord and saviour we have the full authority in us too.
Many believers do not realize they posses this authority which has been given to them thereby making them powerless before the satan, though we are saved and redeemed but at the face of the contest with the devil we are afraid and unable to manifest the power which has been given to us in Jesus Christ.

Satan does not fear you when you quote the scriptures, but He fears when you decree in the authority given in the name of Christ which is above all other names, both in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth.
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Until we begin to manifest in the authority and power of Christ Jesus satan will continue to torment our life with fear.
Consider the life of the disciples while on the sea when the storm of life came against them. Even though they have Jesus Christ with them in the ship, they were full of fear, but until they activate Jesus Christ who has all authority, then peace and calmness came. Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
God has given you the authority, how well are you using it for His glory, are you not still fearful before the storm of life when it arises? Do you not tremble before the antics of the devil? For there is a given authority in which we can command satan and he will tremble before us.
Isaiah 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
With the given authority, we can command God to do anything for according according to His Will, He has given us the privilege as long as we can command Him through His only begotten Son and the works of His hand.
authority is useless when you fail to use it. Jesus never meant for his followers to struggle through life but to walk in victory. He has already defeated satan, yours is to enforce his defeat through the given word and name which is above all other names.
A soldier can have an arsenal full of weapons and still be defeated by an enemy if he failed to make use of his weaponry..
Much reason many Christians are defeated today.
Rise in the authority of God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. For you have a given authority in you as long as you are in Christ Jesus.

1. Lord thank You for the blessing of today in Jesus Christ name.
2. Lord, help me to always make use of the authority you have given unit me in Jesus Christ name.
3. Lord, help my faith in you, so I will no longer live in the fear of devil in Jesus Christ name.
