Come and be Satisfied

Isaiah 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

This is a great invitation from our Lord to everyone who is thirsty and hungry.

Thirst is very common to all, we all understand this craving, we become especially thirsty in dry times,

Many people make vain attempts to satisfy human thirst like, Money, possession, position and prestige, others may be Alcohol, drugs, sex, pleasure or pride

Our Lord invites us to come and drink the living water (John 4)

Water in the book of Isaiah is the common metaphor for divine grace

 Come and satisfy your hunger,

Hunger alerts us to the need for nourishing food, while spiritual hunger calls for the Bread of life. Human efforts to satisfy spiritual hunger fail, only Jesus Christ can satisfy this inner appetite

 Come and satisfy your soul.

People search for satisfaction of soul, spending money for what is not bread, labouring for things that do not satisfy.

 Eat that which is good,

Satisfaction of soul comes through faith in Christ Jesus all other routes to satisfaction are counterfeits

Jesus is inviting you, would you rather accept His call today.

 God bless you
