Break up your fallow ground
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Fallow ground can be defined as a once productive ground but now lies in waste, it was once full of abundant harvest, but now there are weeds and wilderness
Prophet Hosea could identify with the need to break up the fallow ground. , picturing Israel's past glory and their present sad conditions.
We can identify with the need for this call also in our time today.
Churches have grown cold and compromising
Saints sit and soak while sinners die and go to hell.
Our lives seems unproductive due to our spiritual laxity
Fallow ground will continue to produce thorns and thistles, roots of Bitterness and Slothful Christians if we refuse to break it up
We can break up our fallow grounds by doing the following
1. Plow of God's word. The Bible is a mirror that enables us to see ourselves as we are, daily meditation is the key. (James 1:23)
2. Total Repentance from sin. (Rev. 2:4-5)
3. Humility and unseasoned prayer (2Chron.7:14)
Your life can remain unproductive if you refuse to break it up.
Take the steps of faith today, and experience a new dimension of God's manifestation in your life.
