Not by Might, nor by Power

Zechariah  4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Power and might are essential in life to get things done, it is the momentum why which we attain the peak of our desire in life and in this world 

But in God's definition, power and might does not guarantee success and greatness both in life and in the spirit, it is by His grace and spirit that brings breakthrough and deliverance. 

Zerubabell has just been given a civic role as a leader in the land of Israel, as he was a devoted man to God, he received the divine assurance. He was never to be afraid of mountains and enemies that stand before him. He needed no human power or might to succeed, but by the spirit of the living God. 

This kind of assurance was evident in the life of David the shepherd who stood before Goliath a warrior from birth, David didn't approached him through his own power or might, King Saul had given him his human support but they were not needed to guarantee victory over Goliath, it was the spirit and grace of God that gave David victory. 

Joshua would not have pass through Jericho if he depended on diggers, shovel and many other tools to pull down the walls of Jericho, but through the spirit of God, he was led to walk around it with shouting, this was a meaningless tool or weapon, but it guaranteed the pulling down the walls of Jericho. 

It may not be by your understanding, wisdom, influence, connections or academic level that will bring you wealth, peace, joy, deliverance or breakthrough that you need. It is the spirit and grace of God. 

Until you lay down your own power and wisdom and embrace the spirit of God's leading and grace then you can have the breakthrough and deliverance you deserve. 

It is never by power or might that mountains will fall before you, but it is the spirit and grace of God. 

Stop depending on your wisdom, embrace the leading of the spirit of the living God. You will not be disappointed.
