Let not your heart be Troubled

John  14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

The disciples have just heard Jesus speak of His death and departure. Peter have just heard of the betrayal by Judas. And then, peter was told of his denial of Jesus.

In the discussion that follows, Jesus sought to encourage the eleven disciples. Above their fears and troubles, they must believe in God.

The disciples must trust God and in Jesus, though their troubles and challenges may not be immediate, but they must understand that all things will work together for good.

They would have peace of mind only by trusting that God is at work in the events that were about to transpire. They must trust Him who is in control.

Christ did not promised a earth without challenges, troubles, heartbreaks, disappointments, rejection, failure and even sickness. But what He promised is that He will be with us through all this period of our life, if we can trust Him enough.

You have been facing spiritual battle here and there, family may have rejected you, you may have failed many times, your business may not be going  well, even after accepting Christ as your Lord and saviour, your problem became increased.

The Lord says, believe in God, and also in Him, He will rescue you from every bitter  situation you are. When the storm arose on the sea, the disciples believed in Christ that He is able to rebuke the storm and calm the sea. Immediately they trust Christ and believed in Him, they experience the peace they deserve.

Do not be discouraged by the storm of life,  poverty,  failure, sickness,  rejection, disappointment or  heartbreaks, God is with you always, believe in Him and also in Christ, your victory is sure.

God bless you
