Fervent in the Spirit

Romans  12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.

The coming of the Holy spirit has given us a pattern of a driven lifestyle by which we communicate with God which is different from being a natural man.

Anyone who is redeemed is expected to be full of the Holyghost bringing the kingdom of God down to the heart of men and showcasing His true nature.

Nevertheless, we are expected not to have a one time experience of the manifestation of the Holy spirit but to have a consistent fervency in the spirit.

1 Cor. 2:14-15  says:  14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. NKJV

This means we need to live our lives beyond the natural realm.  You’re not the natural man.  The Spiritual IN YOU controls the natural.  You either control the natural or it controls you.  But you can come to the level where you don’t have any cares and anxieties about your life. Instead you have the “I can do all things” attitude.  (Phil. 4:13) 

You don’t function like the ordinary man when you’re full of the Spirit.  You talk differently.  You don’t put yourself down.  You don’t allow yourself to get troubled.  You’re optimistic and you have no down or blue days.  You rule always. You keep the devil under your feet.

Whatever you do, choose to do it through the power of the Holy Spirit. Be empowered by and controlled by the Spirit continually.  Jesus (our example) did everything He did on earth through the Holy Ghost.  He kept saying that it is the “Father in Him” that did the works.  (John 14:10-11) Put the ability of the Greater One in you to work.

When you soak yourself into the things of the spirit always, the Holy spirit becomes the compass through which you navigate this world. It gives you direction where to go and not to go, what to eat and what to avoid, 

When the early church became fervent in the spirit, many wonders were wrought through them, they have one mind and one voice.

Being fervent in the spirit makes your life becomes a restricted area for the devil.  let it become your lifestyle. Pray in the Holyghost, worship in the Holyghost, dance in the Holyghost, speak in the spirit and walk in the spirit as a spirit man. Let your whole life be consumed by the Holyghost and you will become God's desired man.

Don't ever relent being a spirit man.
