The power in now
Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Now is the present time and moment of a thing, now is the defining factor of what will happen in times to come. Everything a man will become tomorrow is decided on the now.
The best time to make a good decision in one's life is now, not tomorrow, because no one knows if he will live up to that tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
The measure of a man's life is only determined in the now. Some defer hardest decisions to latter, they procrastinate till latter time, decision on their career, business, marriage, ministry etc, yet many of these people never still make the best of their decisions before death caught up with them.
If there is anything you need to do, do it now.
Jesus Christ called on certain men in His ministerial journey to become His followers, but each of them gave excuses.
Luke 9:59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Each of them had a good reason to convince Jesus Christ for not following Him that instance. This act is a replica of everyone's life, salvation has been presented to everyone, even now, but are you not procrastinating in your mind to still continue in that sin?
God may have committed a good work in your hand, ministry, evangelism, charity, etc, but you seems not to be ready for God... Saying "in the next year i will begin", but how sure are you that you will live up to the next year? Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goes....
Whatever God has committed into your hands, now is the time to do it, whatever instruction He has given you, now is the time to obey and act on it..
James 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 4:15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 4:16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
The above text defines the life of many, they Boast of tomorrow, lay up treasures, forgetting the best decision they should have made today,. But what becomes of their life, its only a vapour that appear for a little time and then vanishes, all what they becomes will eventually become a past and history.
God is speaking to you now.
If you need to forgive those who wronged you, now is the time
Now is the time to repent from your sins
Now is the time to love those you need to love
Now is the time to be diligent in your work
Now is the time to answer the call of God into the ministry.
Now is the time to obey the commands God has given you.
We may not have next year. We may not have the next decade! In fact we may not have next week! to worship to pray or to ask for forgiveness, we may not have another Sunday!. If there is something Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit is telling you to do get up and do it!
God’s mercy is ever reaching. God’s grace is deeper than anything we can understand. But why take a chance, because tomorrow may never come.
Don't regret not acting now in latter times.
God bless you.
