God hates Cheating
Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
Cheating is an act of dishonesty or deception in order to gain an advantage over another. It is to deprive something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud from someone. Deceit has to do with lies, false claim and wrong accusation.
Falsehood, deceit, cheating and lies are all works of the devil, it is an abomination to God, because He is just and true
Cheating comes in different forms, it can come in marriage as infidelity, in business , in the office, even in the church of God. It has cut deep into our flesh like cancer and it is the reason for many troubles we have in the world today.
The story of king David and bathsheba is an example of marital cheating. 2 Samuel 11:2 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. 11:3 And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? 11:4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
King david has everything at his disposal as the king of the land, he has the right to chose as many wives for himself if he so wish, but it is against God's will for him to take another man's wife to lay with her.
The consequences that follows are unbearable, both for the king, the child and his generations to come. 2 Samuel 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. 12:11 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
Another story to note is that of Jacob and Esau, jacob deceive his father to robb off the blessing of Esau his brother, this was influenced by his mother who gave him the tactics to use.
He achieved his aim and objective, took his brother's blessings and fled to another country. He was glad he did, but the consequences await him in the future. He was deceived too and what he desired most was taken away from him two times. His wife died on the way, and Joseph was sold into slavery.
Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Every forms of cheating starts with lies, followed by deceit... All these makes one an enemy of God.
Whatsoever you do in secret, even if you have your way and make gains from deceit, fraud, infidelity among others, it is not hidden from God and all works of darkness kept as secret will be revealed in the open by God.
Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
All unrighteousness is sin, repent today so you will not end your life in eternal sorrow, make amends where necessary so your ways will be right with God and man.
It is better for you to reveal your secret deeds than let God reveal you, the consequences of the latter is always bitter and sorrowful.
Walk righteously with all men, be grateful with what you have and be truthful in a you do
God bless you.
