Serving the creator and not the Creature
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
God is the creator of all things that exist both in heaven and on earth, even the unseen. He also created man in His own image and likeness. Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Man was created to serve God and rule over the extension of God's kingdom on earth. Man's obligation is to reverence God, serve and worship Him in all ways. All other things were placed under man's authority, it will be foolish to serve the creations under man's authority instead of God the creator of all things.
Serving any other thing apart from God, or thinking of serving God through other means apart from Christ is serving idols.
Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Man's imagination draws him to foolishness, thinking wood, water, stone or any other creations of God are actually God. they devote thier lives to it and worshiped it with all their life. They are blinded in their heart and follows the deceit of the devil.
Exodus 32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
The foolishness of the children of Israel make them take Aron by force to make a god for them which brought them out of Egypt, they gather all their jewellery and made a golden calf from it. They bow down to it and call it the god that brought them out of Egypt... What an act of foolishness. They were all destroyed in the wilderness.
Today, Satan has filled the heart of many with foolishness and ignorance of the true God the creator of all things. Some worshiped water, some sun, some moon, trees, stones, money and wealth, some even worship their fellow men out of ignorance. By this Satan turn their heart away from the true God, he made them blind to see the truth, the way and the life which is Jesus Christ the son of God.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
No one can serve two gods at the same time, you either renounce God and serve the devil, or renounce the devil and serve God... Your choice will eventually determines your end after death.
The creator is the only true God you can serve and not the creation, serving the creations which is very much less than God is foolishness.
Who or what shall be your God this year?,
I would rather admonish you to serve God whose only chanel is through Jesus Christ and the end is eternal life.
