Risk in soughting Christ for canal Interest
John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Jesus Christ came to this world for the purpose of man's redemption that man can be reunited back to God, this He does by dieing on the cross, buried and rose from the dead and ascended to heaven.
His coming to this world was to show the light of God to men through mercy in forgiveness of sin and living righteously as God pleases..
His life entails teachings, signs and wonders, which He did from place place. Many people sought to know Him, to be healed and be delivered by His divine power, but very few sought Him for the purpose by which God sent Him to this world.
Signs and wonders was never the reason God sent Jesus Christ to this world, John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life....
Signs and wonders was an added grace of God to the ministry of Christ for people to believe truly He was sent by God. John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
Many people wouldn't have believed Christ if not for the signs and wonders they see,.. Many people sought for Christ because of the canal things they can only enjoy in this world forgetting the things that will never perish.
Jesus Christ had just thought the people the true word of the kingdom. Because of the lengthy lecture, He desire to feed them and never to send them back home with an empty stomach.. So He did a miracle of feeding more than five thousands with five loaves or bread and two fishes...
The crusade ground on the second day was quickly filled up than that of yesterday, but Christ had left, so they proceeded to look for Him until they found him at Capernaum, this was not in a bid to hear the true word from Him but because of the loaves of bread and two fishes they ate the previous day. When Christ started to preach the true word, they all departed one after the other
To what reason are you looking for Christ, some sought for Him because of signs and wonders and after they get it, they depart,
Some sought for Christ for money, fruit of the womb, wealth, business liberation etc, but do not actually seek Him for the true word or the kingdom and salvation of their soul
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Lack of wisdom is seeking Christ for earthly things that can perish for everlasting thing that last forever.
Gehazi seek for money, change of cloth and food for the ministerial work of the kingdom.
Judas choose to seek for Christ for just thirty pieces of silva. His end was suicide.
What reason are you seeking for Christ?, if God refuses to answer your prayers for canal things you are requesting from Him, will you still love Him?
Sometimes God will withheld your request to test your faith and trust in Him, sometimes it will be to bring temptations which are not above your faith to you. This is in a bid to authenticate your love for Him.
The only reason you should seek Christ is the salvation of your soul, your redemption from the hands of Satan. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
If you seek Christ you will gain all, but if you seek other things which are canal, you will lose all and still lose Christ.
Wisdom is profitable to direct.
God bless you.
