Carrying the true mark of God

Mark  16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; The mark of God is God's sign off  identification or ownership, it is a universal code for all membership in the body and family of God. It guarantees your eternal safety and certifies that your relationship with God is real. In the garden of Eden, after the creation, man wholly belong to God, but when sin sets in, satan took over the ownership of man life, robbing off all the goodness of God in man's life. God in His infinite mercy provided a means by which man can be reunited with Him again and become joint heirs of His kingdom. This He does from generation to generations. The children of Israel were identified with God for the relentless and committed faith of their forefathers Abraham, who gave up all to follow an unseen God. Despite being stiff-necked, God never forsake them in time of trouble because of His mark upon them. It was a tim

Discipline is never a crime

Proverbs  3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:  3:12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behaviour, using punishment to correct disobedience. This can be done by oneself or from someone to another.  As humans, we are bound to make mistakes, as much as there is a law guiding the affairs of our life, there will always be a time we would sin against the set law and definitely we are bound to be disciplined.  This is in no way of acting wickedly to the offender, but to bring knowledge, correction to the offender in order to avoid future occurrence.   In some  passages of Scripture, the word is used in reference to a father training his children, or training in righteousness, or in this context God training his children. Proverbs  3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction

End result of a Betrayer

Proverbs  19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. A betrayer is a  person who is not loyal to their country or to another person, often doing something harmful such as giving information to an enemy. betrayal is a sin before God which never goes without its punishment.  There are many are  betrayers in the scripture which their life should teach us some lessons so we don't walk in their path as we journey in our life.  Jacob betrayed His brother by receiving the blessing due to him. This was perfectly.accomplished by their mother.. Though  he got  what he wanted but the consequences of his actions caught up with him in the journey of his life..  He was deceived by His uncle while choosing a wife, he did not enjoy the wife he laboured for, for fourteen years, and the son he loved most was betrayed by his blood brothers. He mourned a living.   King david betrayed one of his trusted warrior who fights for him in battle, took his wife a

Jesus calm the Sea

Matthew  8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. After a long day of ministerial work, Jesus beckoned on the disciple to go over the other side of the town, and the only means of transportation is to go by the sea.  Not long while on the journey there arose a great storm of wind, it troubled the water and its waves beat into the ship (Matthew  8:24)  Everyone should have thought that the wind should have respected Jesus who has power over every elements of earth (air, water, fire), at least for the main time Jesus would travel on the sea.  Trouble came, the disciples were afraid, nobody wants to die, at instance they knew they have Jesus, but yet the presence of Jesus is not enough for them not to be afraid.  Jesus latter came to their rescue, challenged them of their lack of faith, rebuke the storm and declare peace unto the sea. Matthew  8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye

The Nothingness of life

1 Timothy  6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  Life is the existence of an individual, before the fall, God created the life of man to be unique, beautiful, full of peace, joy, happiness and grace, the life of a man becomes meaningful as God was at the center of him. But after the fall, Satan introduces sin, sin brought about pain, struggle, lust, lack of contentment and death. Life becomes a vapor that soon passes away without a trace of its existence. Ecclesiastes  1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.  1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.  1:3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? All is vanity to those who labours and acquires riches and fame solely for the purpose of seeking pleasure in this  life. If one's life is simply for pleasure and fame, then he eventually comes to the point in his life where he concludes that

Painful Regret

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Regret is a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over an occurrence or something that one has done or failed to do. Regret comes when you finally finds out the truth about a situation. regret occurs because we do not know all things and we do make mistakes. As we age, we often look back on decisions made in youth and regret our choices. Many people regret their actions in the scriptures after realising the truth or after they began to experience the consequences of their actions.  Cain regretted killing Abel his brother, because of unaccepted sacrifice, the death of Abel did not make him the acceptable one before God. After God's pronouncement of judgement upon him, he pleaded that he should not be killed but became a wonderer.  Moses regretted his action of not fully acting according to the instruction of God of bringing water from the rock. God had to put a stop o

Cease from being Stubborn

Proverbs 29:1 He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Stubbornness is a dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, being stubborn to the commands, instructions, words and salvation in Christ is a sin unto God.  God is always happy with those who yield to His commands, but he detest those who hardened their heart in stubbornness.  The life pharaoh is an example of a stubborn heart, despite God's warnings and wonders shown, so as to let the children of Israel go which includes,  water turning to blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the killing of firstborn children. yet he continued to be stubborn against God, till he came with his final destruction at the red sea.  Such also is a life God  has been giving warnings to desist from evil deeds, or to accept His will for his life. God has sent His messengers and messages through several means, in

The bitterness of the forbidden Fruit

Jeremiah  4:18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart. When God created man, He gave him a clear warning never to eat of the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and on the day he eat from it, he shall surely die.  Genesis  2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.  2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Eve was tempted, her presence was drawn to the forbidden tree, and she was made to see it's fruit lustfully. She came to the conclusion that the fruit is good for food, pleasant to the eyes and it can make one wise.  Genesis  3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was plea

Stay away from Impurity

Matthew  5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Impurities are substances which make something less pure or totally impure. Impurities are sins that makes impure our divine nature in God.  For He is holy, righteous and true and anyone who will serve Him must be of the same nature. Romans  6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Apostle Paul encourages the Roman believers the need to dedicate their bodies to the Lord as they have been born again in Christ Jesus. The desire to fulfil the lust of the flesh should not be given occasion to control their spirit mind. 1 Corinthians  6:18 Flee fornication. Every s

Mystery behind a successful Union

Amos  3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? MARRIAGE is an institution of God, and to be in one is a beautiful thing. God laid the foundation of marriage in the garden of Eden after careful observation of Adam that he needed an helpmeet. For it is not good for him to be alone.  For this following reasons God establish marriage, being a union between two. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. [10]For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up [11]Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? [12]Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Popularity Passes Away Everyone wish to have that picture perfect marriage without hitch or hitting on the rock just as God desires, but the truth is, not everyone actually got that marriage their soul lon

Renewing God's Grace

Hebrews  4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. From several perspectives, many see grace as a special favour bestowed upon someone, many understand grace as an anointing, gift, or mantle, and  many see grace as a yardstick to commit sin.  but sadly that is not grace,   The grace of God is the totality of God, it entails mercy, love, power, salvation and might of God. By this grace, a believer grow more in God and His mysteries as it becomes unveiled  As much as we have received this grace through the sacrificial death and resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ, many still find their way out of this grace given to all men freely by God, just as we lost it in the garden of Eden through the deceit of Satan.  As a believer on the pilgrimage of salvation with heaven in view, we must constantly renew the grace of God in us so as not to be totally lost from His presence  into the darkness of this world.  Ho

The Breath of Life

Genesis  2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. At creation, man was originally dead, an ordinary clay without life, but God in His divine wisdom of creation breath into a formed clay and man became a living being with a body, soul and divine spirit of God of righteousness and holiness. The breath that the Lord breathe into man is the Spirit of God that gives the life of man a meaning, it activates the glory of God in man, and man share in the divine nature of the living God. Job  33:4 The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Job acknowledged God for the breath of life God  gave him, he speak with confidence that it is the Spirit of God that gave him life even when in the most difficult situation a man could ever experience in life, yet he believes that the spirit of God in him in which he believes is the life that gives him joy despite bei

Maximizing the power of Domination

Genesis  1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Domination is the state of having control over a situation or someone, the supremacy or preeminence over another. God created man to rule and dominate over all he had first created, both the living and non living things, Genesis  1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. man was given the power to dominate after God blesses them.  Genesis  1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fo

Making/Marring life

Genesis  3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. In the begining God purposed in His hearth to create man who will have the image of Him, that will be an extension of His kingdom reign. So He formed man from the dust of the ground, breath life into it and man became a living being Genesis  2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. This life He gave came with a conscious warning in the garden He placed man. Genesis  2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God gave a clear warning to the man, and the consequences that follows if He s

Strive for Perfection

Matthew  5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Jesus Christ establishes a needed high standard of conduct in order that His disciples be made aware of their need for salvation and their need to struggle in order to have the kingdom reign of Jesus Christ within them. The word perfect here can refer only to one who is complete as a result of God's accredited righteousness that results from His grace.  Philippians  3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.  3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Apostle paul was Christ-sent apostle with great anointing who also have religious background in Judai

God hates Cheating

Proverbs  11:1 A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. Cheating is an act of dishonesty or deception in order to gain an advantage over another. It is to  deprive  something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud from someone. Deceit has to do with lies, false claim and wrong accusation.  Falsehood, deceit, cheating and lies are all works of the devil, it is an abomination to God, because He is just and true  Cheating comes in different forms, it can come in marriage as infidelity, in business , in the office, even in the church of God. It has cut deep into our flesh like cancer and it is the  reason for many troubles we have in the world today.  The story of king David and bathsheba is an example of marital cheating. 2 Samuel  11:2 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon

Consequences of the irresponsible Shepherds

Jeremiah  23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. A shepherd is someone who watches over, looks after, or guides somebody. In this context, shepherds are the ordained ministers of God who has been called to look after the flocks of God, the Saint, the redeemed, those who have been saved from the darkness to the marvelous light of God.  They teach, guide and instruct the people in the ways and commands of God.  It is very sad today that many shepherds has forsaken the sheep, thereby making the sheep go stray, many has caged the sheep for selfish interest and deny them the truth of the word of God they deserve.  The word of  the Lord came unto Ezekiel to prophecy against the irresponsible shepherds of israel  Ezekiel  34:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel

A boastful Heart

Proverbs  16:5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. A boastful heart is a heart that shows excessive pride and self-satisfaction in one's achievements, possessions, or abilities.   Proud is feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of one's own achievements, qualities, or possessions or those of someone with whom one is closely associated. having or showing a high or excessively high opinion of oneself or one's importance. It  is putting oneself in the place of God. it is a refusal to depend on God, but to instead depend on oneself and try to be self-sufficient.  it is well also a refusal to give him the glory he is due, but to instead seek the glory for oneself. Satan is the first to be boastful in heart, he purposed it in his heart, but was disgraced afterwards  Isaiah  14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which did
