Your God or your Money

Luke  16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Money is one of the most common examples of mammon as something that people prioritize over the sanctification of their lives. Whether it's the love of money, consumed by an obsession with acquiring more wealth, or the fear of not having enough.

Money is an essential tool in a man's life in this world, it is one of the dimensions of God's wealth, He desires that we have it, and even in abundance, but today, people run after money for temporary satisfaction  rather than God that can give eternal  satisfaction.

1 Timothy  6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.  6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows

Having money is not a sin but the love of money is the root of all evil. Many has constantly focus on the quest to get money thereby lose focus on God that gives wealth and riches.

Whatever fills your heart rather than God is a god on its own, money has become god, they can't be contented with what they have already gotten, but instead desire to have more no matter what it takes

Consider the life of Judas Iscariot

Judas iscariot was one of the first disciples of Christ, who was called personally for the kingdom business by Christ. He was groomed by Christ, dine and wined with Him and travel on several ministrations with Christ, yet his lustful desire for money made him sell off His God away.
Matthew  26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Have you not also sold your salvation away today in return for money?, have you not sold your God so as to gain this world?,

1 Corinthians  10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

Devil is the originator of lust, and love for money, whoever that exhibit these characters is of the devil. You cannot serve two masters at the same time, you would rather chose money that gives you the best pleasures in this world and lose eternity, or chose God who will give you eternal life and wealth to enjoy in this world with added contentment.

The choice is yours today, chose who shall be your God, if you chose money, you will definitely lose eternity, but if you chose God, you will have eternity and gain wealth of this world that has contentment.
Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Chose wisely.

God bless you.
