The Sower and the Reaper

Mathew  9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

On several occasions Christ made the parable of sowers and reapers  to give understanding of the kingdom business, either to His disciples or the congregation He is teaching. The two have been used interchangeably and for this teaching Jesus is calling on reapers who will work diligently to reap the harvest of souls that are ripe for God's word 

Here, the word of God had been sowed into the lives of many, messages has been preached through many medium, and souls has been touched by the word, now is the time for harvest, those who have been saved need to stand for the salvation of others. 

John  4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.  4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.  4:37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

Jesus was teaching His followers, and consciously charged everyone to wake-up from slumber, to open their eyes so they can see what needed to be done. First He called the disciples, at pentecost the believers grew in numbers and till today many are convinced and converted through the word. 

Yet, the harvest is still plenty, God is calling unto the sowers and the reapers, those that will preach the good news of Christ to the unsaved, and those who will continue to feed the flock with the doctrine of Christ till He shall come in the clouds the second time. 

Matthew  9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.  9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Many are thirsty of the truth, many wants to know the true way, many are waiting to be preached to, counsel, mentored and guided towards the path of righteousness, so He is calling on everyone who has known the way to rise to help others as they have been helped to know Christ. 

Acts  13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.  13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.  13:49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

For Christ has made us to be the light in this world, not just for our tribe, nation, language or race, but for everyone irrespective of colour, language, or believe... We are to continually shine the light of God's grace, salvation, holiness and righteousness. 

You have been called, someone preached to you, and you ought to preach to others, it must not end with you, become the reaper of God's word in the field of the world that God has sowed His word into. 

John 4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together

There is a reward for everyone who diligently work for God in truth and in faith. God takes pleasure in them, and at the end, they both shall rejoice together... 

Jesus Christ is calling, pick the call.
