Possessing Christ Inner Beauty
1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
According to dictionary.com, beauty is the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.)
In other perspective, Beauty is an experience of the good, which can be associated with God, creation, faith, truth, harmony, or numerous other notions. ... For some thinkers, beauty begins with God.
When beauty is ascribed, more attention is given to the physical attraction of a thing, but in the real understanding of what God reveals to us, beauty is in our inner disposition and not our outward appearance.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Our body is the temple of the living God, and so as He resides in us, we must be able to illuminate the beauty of God from inside out
Even though our body is made from clay, fashioned in the glory of God, but yet one day it will be eaten up by worms, or it be transformed at rapture, this reveals that our physical appearance which seems to be beauty to us does not transcend the real beauty God wants us to possess.
God does not demand our external beauty which we try to make perfect everyday, but the inner beauty of Christ, the true beauty is revealed in the fruit of the spirit.
These beauty includes the beauty of love, the beauty of joy, the beauty of peace, the beauty of long-suffering, the beauty gentleness, the beauty of goodness, the beauty of faith, the beauty of Meekness, the beauty of temperance, the beauty of holiness and righteousness and the beauty of mercy.
The beauty of Christ is not about the looks, but of love, its not about the skin but of sacrifices, these beauties illuminate God's nature and character from the life of an individual to others.
You can be physically attractive but your heart is evil
You can have a glowing skin, but your soul is full of garbage and stinking.
Our being handsome and pretty on the outside does not matter if we are selfish, greedy, unkind or dishonest, they are not beautiful. It’s a terrible burden to be attractive on the outside, but to lack the inner beauty which comes from faith in God.
God looks at the heart and loves anyone whosever no matter how their outward appearance is.
A new life and walk in Christ can redefine your life into the perfect beauty of God. Accepting Christ and waking according to His true nature.
Today, do you possess the inner beauty of Christ?, no matter how beautiful, pretty or handsome you may look on the outside, if you do not possess the inner beauty of Christ, you are very ugly.
Ask yourself are you beautiful or handsome?
God bless you.
