How is your love for Christ?

John  14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

After the fall and separation of man from God in the garden of Eden, God makes every possible way to re-unite man to himself by constant communication and devotion, but this could not unite man ultimately. Thus, out of His infinite love for man He send His only begotten Son to die for mankind, that by His death and resurrection man will be redeemed back to Himself  ultimately.

God's love is expressly defined in Christ, and as long as any man would please God, He must first love Christ and His words.

John  14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.  14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

The love of Christ is seeing in total obedience to His words, teachings and commandments, it is in keeping His words and becoming active of His Words.

The love of Christ is not seeing in the confession of our mouth, it is not seeing in our religious activities, but it is seeing in our total obedience to Christ words which are directly God's words.

1 John  2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

The love of God is not perfected only when He sent His son into the world to die for our sin... John  3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  But it is perfected when a man keeps the word of God which was communicated by Christ Jesus. And thereby we become united in Him in one body.

How is your love for Christ today?

1 John  2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

One of the reasons the love of Christ fade away from the life of Christians today is because of the love of the world and the things of the world, and whoever loves the love has no love for God.

Believers are not to attach themselves to the thinking of the world in order to be diverted from keeping their minds on those things that are above.

Believers must not be directed in his life by the evil values and morals that are maintained by those deceived by satan. It is impossible for one to love God with the intensity of love by which God demands that we serve Him, and at the same time, compromise his values and morals by living after the world.

The evidence of the last day brings the manifestation of evil which shall make the love of Christ in many wax cold.

2 Timothy  3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,  3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

This is the end time, and the last days spoken of, the love of many are waxing cold, many has become lovers of their own selves, evil has become increased, and many has given their life to the pleasures of this world rather than the love of God.

How is your love for Christ today?  Is it still strong as the day you got saved?, He is coming back soon. Will He still find you faithful.

No one can deceive God, though His second coming may tarry, but how good and wonderful will it be if He finds you waiting and watching full of His love in obedience to His word.

If you love Christ you can never love the world, if you love the world the love of Christ is not in you.
