Danger of walking by Sight and not by Faith

2 Corinthians  5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Faith is the Belief in, loyalty to, and complete trust in God, faith is the only currency through which anyone can trade with in the spirit world. Whoever that will walk with God, work for Him and expect blessings from Him must be ready to do so in faith and not by sight, for faith is the key to walk with God in the spirit John  4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God guides our life through our unwavering faith

Walking by faith means living life in light of eternal consequences. To walk by faith is to fear God more than man; to obey the Bible even when it conflicts with man’s commands; to choose righteousness over sin, no matter what the cost; to trust God in every circumstance; and to believe God rewards those who seek Him, regardless of who says otherwise.

Nevertheless as believers, we put ourselves in great danger when we only walk by sight instead of walking by faith.

The life of the children of Israel during their exodus from Egypt is a great lesson to learn from.

Exodus  16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.  16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:  16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

God had miraculously saved them from the den of Pharaoh, through many signs and wonders, even after the coming out, they were made to walk through the waters.. One would conclude they were people of faith.

But coming to the wilderness they murmured against God through His servant because of little hunger. They had forgot what He did in the past, so they rather wish to die in slavery than the freedom God gave them, they rather wish for foods of pain and agony than the mighty works he did in the life of their enemies.

Their walking by sight rather than by faith made many of them lose their lives in the wilderness and couldn't get to the promise land.

Dangers of walking by sight instead of by faith.

1. You can never experience the full manifestation of God's divine nature.

Exodus  3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.  3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.  3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

God called unto Moses for a walk of faith, He yielded the call and was ready to obey the God he never see.  His faithful obedience of faith made God to reveal His divine nature to Him. At one point God made His glory to pass before Him and  his life was transformed to a new being that many who sees him could not behold the glory of God that radiate over him.

2. You will be blind to see God's present help in times need

2 Kings  6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Elisha was a man of faith, who walked with God by faith and not by sight. But he has a servant who is blinded in the spirit and was overwhelmed by the danger his sight behold. So Elisha prayed that the Lord could open His eyes to see the salvation of God that surrounds them.

The more you see with your sight, the more fearful you become, but the more you see with faith, the more confidence you become in God.

3. You can never please God.

Hebrews  11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

You can never please God if you walk by your sight, because faith is obedience to God's words and commands. Thus in a time God is giving some instructions that is contrary to human  philosophy, you find it difficult to comprehend and thereby reject God's wisdom.

4. You will lose a place in Him.
1 John  5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Our walking by faith with Him guarantee us the hope that we will reign with Him in eternity. Those who walk by sight are only limited with the things of this world, they have no hope of the kingdom of God because they never believed in Him.

Walking by faith makes you God's favourite... Noah walked with faith, He was the only family saved in the whole nation of the world... Abraham became a father of faith and was blessed beyond measure, it was by faith the first Apostles believed the records of the prophets concerning the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they believed in Him when He called them.

Walk by faith and not by sight, your life can only be better if you groom yourself in the faith of God.

God bless you.
